  • What amp are you using? When you are the T C Electronics demo guy, any amp you want.

    Big Ron

  • .I'm just wondering is the delay on changing patches or effects normal? Or is there by any chance set the time/speed of changing patches...Its annoying me already...Any help is appreciated! Cheers!

  • Hi. I want to buy a Nova System and an expression pedal effects such as access to wha, volume, whammy, and others. I'm in doubt between Boss FV500H and FV500L. Which is compatible with this pedal? Thanks.

  • @zero82611 Thanks for asking, either of those volume/expression pedals would work great with the Nova System. The only difference between the two models is the FV500H is made for Hi-Z input sources like guitars and basses, while the FV500L is made for low-impedance sources (like keyboards). That's only important if you're using it as a volume pedal too, if you're only using it as an expression pedal both will work fine. We hope that helps, call us if you have more questions!

  • anybody else notice the other two tc pedals sitting there? i played the nova system today and definitely wasnt getting that fat of a sound or decent tracking on an octave effect

  • @claytushaywood1 well what amp/guitar are you using etc.... Theres a lot that effects the sound

  • @claytushaywood1 Is the octave effect polyphonic? Or it just works on one string?

    Thanks.

  • Security - Security - there is a guy with a guitar that still has the price tag on it.

    Great demo no kidding.

    Big Ron

  • this is why i love TC Electronics... top of the line effects that is hard to get from other effects manufactures.

  • was choosing between m13 and this. i decided i dont want to lug around so much weight. definitely getting the nova.

  • I think Tore made a great demo of this pedal. Nothing fancy, not to much talking, not too technical - just minimalistic and to the point. I think he actually worked hands-on with the development of this pedal, so he's well aware of what it can do and why.

  • what's the song at 1:40 ?it sounds so familiar ,but just cant recall the name ...appreciate anyone can tell me ,please ,thx

  • shanhaolee: Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, John Mayer

  • @shanhaolee Slow dancing in a burning room - John Mayer

  • All of these multi pedals, have the same effects and what not but that being said.

I have the VOX ToneLab SE, it blows all of these things away. Not the cheaper versions or Line6-Boss GT Series-Zoom-Digitech. Although the clean in all of these boards are admirable. None of them can compare to the VOX.. Also, when these toys are demoed by a halfway decent player, it's easy to say this unit is worth the time. Remember, these guys are going to play the most common lines to grab your attention.

  • I've played gigs like this, with nobody in the audience.

TC stuff is great though. (Although it seems not for everybody) - I have a Nova Repeater and Nova Modulator. Both are excellent

  • what do you think it's better and why: tc nova system or digitech rp1000?

  • @lucianoduvoisin The TC has way better quality effects in it and has an analog drive section. The RP1000 has only digital modeling capabilities.

  • @lucianoduvoisin TC Nova because it just is... LOL Digitech RP1000's effects don't really allow you to customise your effects well. It allows you to customize them but they just don't sound great. Plus, TC is just a better company, anyway :p

  • Haha 1:22...!!

  • man sounds wonderful!

  • can you get a nice univibe effect with the nova system?

  • I really don't understand the hubbub about Line 6 stuff. IMHO, it's junk. They sell some products at Best Buy for pete's sake.

  • Fender, Gibson, and Mesa, all have stuff at Best Buy. Does that make them crap too?

I agree that TC Electronic produces much higher quality than some of Line 6, with the exception of a few peices of L6 gear, it is a different market. Line 6 is accessible to guitarists of all levels and financial status, where TC Electronic's gear has for the most part been aimed strictly at Professional players.

  • sounds great !

but does it have a effects loop option ?

  • yes it has an effect loop option. my opinion the best thing you can do with it. running through the fx loop. Of course overdrive and distortion is disabled then.

  • @mittellos I own one and yes it does, it has an input that bypasses the drive section so you can put it in your effect loop.

  • what amp is he playing thru?

  • @rixills Egnater

  • i have a cuestion this sound is better than the tubes of zoom g9.2tt??

  • you can make a type of conection and control your analog pedal with that tc??

  • amp sims SUCK, get a good amp!!!

  • The Nova System doesn't have amp sims.

  • lmao nice audience!!!

  • what song is at 1:39? im totally blanking out

  • John Mayer - Slow Dancing in a Burning Room...

    Great song.

    Cheers!

  • thanks!

  • I just got one of these and they are very cool

  • do you think thsi thing is better tan buying some pedals???

  • Is this better than the X3 or GT 10 ? Also, does it have all amp models etc ?

  • its just effects no amp models, you can check out the line6 m13 or m9

  • thanks . . the M13 or M9 appear to have amp models + effects (like the X3 live, but without expression pedal/USB etc). Is there any unit that I can buy along with the T.C.Elec Nova purely for excellent amp modelling ?

  • if you want amp modeling and effects i suggest u look at the X3, Gt10, Zoom, or the new line6 spiderIV amps, Marshall M4 or Vox valvetronix series. and for really lowe budget the behringer Vamp series

  • not to sound snobbish, but there is no such thing as excellent amp modeling, all you can hope for is really good. check out the axe fx ultra ...its a bit pricey at 1200 bucks or so but it is the best modeling ive heard so far, although for the price, you could get a decent tube amp.

  • I wish I could spend that much . . I am saving my scholarship money to get the POD x3 live/PRS SE/marshall MG 30. Cant afford anything better right now, may be in the future

  • honestly, i would not buy the POD x3. i have used a ton of line 6 stuff and its all okay at best and trust me, it will not sound good with the MG. i mean i dont know what music u play or anything, but for the $500 you'll spend on the x3 you could get some awesome stand alone pedals, or a used tc nova, or between what ud spend on the x3 and MG 30, you could get a good used tube amp. trust me man, makes all the difference in the world

  • @creamz28

Yes, Creamz is right I have the X3 is not bad but effects from TC are way better. PRS SE 24 Custom is excellent. Save a little bit more and get the new Peavey 6505+ combo instead the Marshall MG 30.

  • They should put a looper and analog delay inside and that would be really all you need

  • man how much does this thing weight? i'd like to have it brought from the US but i don't want to have weight issues

  • Comment removed

  • about 11 pounds... just the unit itself not to mention packaging

  • Fail. Look at TC's page and you'll see the real weight =)

  • 4.1 lbs / 1.85 kg!

  • oh word, i dont remember where i got that number from... haha, my bad good catch!

  • did i miss the spot where he demo'd the distortion?!?!

  • This or the line 6 XT Live?

  • THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! you wont look back i promise you

  • This then, thanks for info!

  • this unit have a professional quality in compare to other guitar multieffects stuff... you won't plug a Rocktron Utopia G100 to a valve head cause it's too cheep sounding. I tried this. nonsence.

  • I have a G100 I liked until I plugged it into my Tube amp. Sounded like garbage. this seems to work nicely with tube amps and provides a nice push to the tubes. What did you think of it in conjunction with an all tube head?

  • this one has analog distortion so it's like boosting your tube amp with some boost pedal. Also try to use your G100 in effects loop for modulation effects (switch off the distrortion), that would work not the best way but better.

  • he was at the tc booth in london yesterday i talked to him and he let me try the nova drive, cool guy!

  • Hi,I`ve tried all kind of multieffects( Boss GT6, GT8,GT10,the tones I get are very digitals and nasals , I am about to change to Nova System, I am afraid that I won`t be able to progarm it in order to get nice tones likes the ones you are getting in this video. Please give me your coments. Thanks, Nelson

  • Can I use a midi controller and hookup my POD Xt pro to one of these? I want to use the BOSS FC 300 midi controller and have 2 different rigs..one clean (with this TC) and the rock on with xt pro...can this be done? is it possible? That midi controller has 2 amp inputs..I want to use that to do what I said ...hhaha...any thoughts?

  • Completely different beasts. Gts and pods are modeling units. This is an effects unit.

  • I'd say if you can't tell the difference in sonic quality then stick with the GT8. Ignorance is bliss.

  • TC's danish

  • Is that a Bogner Shiva? Also, what model of strat is that?
