I disagree on a few parts of this list, but from what I didn't disagree on, you had some nice choices. Kudos on putting Fight Club and Requiem on this list, for I commonly refer to them as the two most underrated films of all time. EXTREMEM kudos for including A Clockwork Orange! (Of which is a huge obssesion of mine and my all time favorite movie)

A lot of people like Clockwork Orange, which I haven't seen, and almost everybody I know gives 2001 crap. 2001 is my second favorite movie, right behind Terminator 2. I just don't see Clockwork Orange as a superior movie to 2001, or The Shining for that matter.

@Bassbait Actually, I love 2001! In fact, it makes my top ten! Practically everything Kubrick made is a timeless classic through my eyes, but A Clockwork Orange is just that one movie where I could give an hour long possitive commentary on every frame and sound tone. But truthfully, my feelings for ACO are a bit more personal as its visuals strike my interests and its meanings on conspiracy, crime, and punishment match my feelings on those three subjects.

@tamsWTFvideos Cool! My favorite is 2001, because it is probably the single greatest movie I have ever seen. I'm "too young" to watch A Clockwork Orange, so I haven't seen it. Shining pops up on TV, so I've seen that, I own Dr. Strangelove, watched Paths of Glory in school. I have plans to rent Barry Lyndon next chance I get, but my mom is kind of a jerk about R movies, so I haven't seen ACO or FMJ. Still, FMJ looks to be my favorite because I love Sgt. Hartman just from youtube clips alone.

Yes I think District 9 is better. It is a good twist on alien movies, we are the bad people not the aliens. im not gonna review both of these movies for you. I think District 9 was better than The Godfather, but not by much. Ity is extremely close. But District 9 had a sense where you can sympathize with the aliens, and they arent trying to kill us or make peace. They just want to go home, and we are the bad guys here. It has so much thought and has such a low budget that it really surprises me. You relate to the man who gets turned into an alien, you feel bad for him, and the aliens as well.
