Ok its a personal thing so we all should learn what works for us as were all built differently so the main thing is not to hurt yourself by lifting it in a way that can swist or strain a muscle.general lifting common sence used..
i often have to put my scuba rig on while on a rocking boat where its actually harder to stand when not weighted by gear & there or on dry land i usually sit down then roll onto my knees then stand up & my twinset weighs as much as an adult.
When I was a weelittle boy scout (90 pounds worth) i always had to find a rock or a buddy to help get my pack on, but now that I have big muscles and shtuff its wayy easier
Put your feet together, grab the bag by the shoulder-straps and gently put it on your feet as close to your shins as possible. Now give the bag a good smack with both your nees and swiftly lift it up on your thighs. Lift your right knee up and slip into the right shoulder strap ... et voila!
this is not a easy menar, it's easer to lay the bag ont the back site(not the site where you back is) the top to your legs and put your hand on the site of the bag and you trow it over your neg it's easer, lighter and faster.

unless you are a porter, the first thing you should do: get rid of 1/3-1/2 of the crap in the pack!
