I like Evanescence, but I think the quality of their music went down after Moody left. The lyrics seem quite generic. I don't know, they just don't seem as polished as they were. Now it's all about Amy Lee and less about the band. I think she's a bit big headed, and I find her really annoying. Though she does have a beautiful voice.

Ben Moody didn't "abandon" Amy. He decided to leave and the manager called Amy and told her to stop him from leaving. She chose not to because it was his decision, and convincing him to stay when he had his own shit to deal with and wanted to leave anyway would have been a mistake. She said so herself in an interview. Rocky laid the drums for this track, and he and John were in the band when this was written and recorded. They have every right to be shown in a video for this song.

However I feel sad about Ben's reactions. You cannot just leave your band and your fans and some months later join the band of a pop/ rock singer (Avril). That's weird...

He didn't join her "band," she doesn't have one, he helped her write songs, besides, how is a musician to pay the bills if he left the band? I mean, Amy and Ben both said that if one of them didn't leave, the band would end, so can we really blame him? It's not like he's trying even to pin all the blame on Amy either. And I am calm.
@catdemonninja Then why is he so bitter in some interviews when he talks about Amy. I never cared to much that he left but I do not like some of his comments on Amy. They both said they just had different goals but both of them seem to dislike each other and Amy has written way too many songs about him, expressing her negative feelings. She cannot be lying. However it is a complicated situation and we shouldn't discuss it here besides the discussion started with a misunderstanding. :)

Their best album was Origin. This is just Amy Lee singing. Calming, but being a true gothic metal fan I am not impressed. Not even one guitar. Try again evanescence.
