  • wtf

  • nice

  • Will you do something like this for the Wii Punch-Out?

  • uummm...WOOOW i did exactly watchu said for the 1st knock out.......n iT ended up a K.O 42.25 secs !!!!!

  • do these stratagys stand for punch out featuring mr dream on the wii?

  • whoops actually, you need to do 20 before he steps back

  • i actually found a better way to TKO him and its much better. KD him at 40. if you got 19 off, either face if you gave him a body shot or the other way around, then do the opposite for 2 stars. use them to take him down

  • @Deliciousfruit233

Yeah, but it involves, as Kingdom says, Cracker Jack timing.

  • @tussler21557 It's not as hard as you think. Every third punch, hold up for a split second and hit him with 3 more body blows. Repeat this pattern until you get the star. Yes, it requires precision timing, but not tool assistance.

  • @Deliciousfruit233

I've only done that like once in my whole life...every other time I will get to 19 hits then he will jump back.

  • @Collegejew629 Are you alternating your punches, or just using body blows after your first 3 jabs? If you're alternating, try using body blows after the first 3 jabs. If you're already doing that, then you're probably just doing it too slowly. Check my video response (to this walkthrough vid) to see what I mean.

  • @Deliciousfruit233

neither. I'm doing left face jabs then pausing ever so slightly. I'll land about 18 or 19 before he jumps away.

  • HOLY CRAP!! I GOT HIM IN 42:00 seconds!!! thats a record!!!!!!

  • @tussler21557 me too 0-o

  • Actually, it's quite possible on a real NES to get 20 punches before Joe's special. Just throw the first 3 face punches, and since body blows are faster than face punches, keep Joe's guard up and throw a crapload of body blows.

  • How do you do that star uppercut?

  • press the start button

  • LOl i lost my nes but i am getting a new one so the only way i can play this game is on the internet

  • There are emulators and the virtual console for the wii.

  • Mac's left punch is faster? Does that mean he's probably left-handed?

  • no mac is right handed because right handed fighters jab with their left

  • oh shit where the fuck have Ive been THIS IS NUTS!!!

  • did u say fustrating

if so i love the continuity

  • oh yeah...glad you caught that

  • ZEE UPPERCUT!

  • i dont know if its me cartridge or im not doing like i used to but i never nail glass joe auto ko

  • If Joe gets up, it's quicker to get both stars in phase 2. It doesn't take 8 punches in between if you have a star already. Get your 19 pre charge, knock him down and when he gets up give him 2 gutters (or any 2 punches you can get through) for 2 stars. Use one to knock him down. He gets up on 1 and you use the other for the TKO. Saves a lot of time, but is obviously not as quick as just getting the KO.

  • this is mad awsome but how are we going 2 play the game relly isnt the game outdated?( wish i can still play it T_T)

  • Well if you had a Wii you can buy it on Virtual Console. I have the original and the shitty "Mr. Dream Version"

  • wow...wat dont you know about this

  • Is there any difference between this walkthrough and the MTPO walkthrough part 1 you did? or am i just confused?

  • Nice IRATE Gamer insult, I never thought Don Flamenco was "fustrating".

  • lol ZEE UPPERCUT!

  • Comment removed

  • out of some dum luck i did the specail move takedown at 42 seconds

  • You sound a little like Steve from American Dad in this one!

  • ever think of putting all your punchout vids on DVD???? Id buy it!! Any more challenges coming up?

  • this isn't a walkthrough.

    it's a video strategy guide! :)

  • WESKER!!!

  • why do you sound different from the first

  • I've experimented a lot in the last 6 months or so with microphone techniques. It's not really my specialty. Plus, I think I was sick when I recorded this one.

  • @KingdomCarts you should redo this again with the same voice as the first

  • @micfiends Ummmm...he does. The beginning is from Nintendo Power.

  • In part one you preached about "proper" punches, why is it in this part i noticed "improper" punches against piston honda. im confused here.

  • That's because its from another video that was on Youtube.

  • Actually it was me, but I was making fun of some youtube videos. Before I started making this walkthrough, I searched around to see if anyone had covered these advanced techniques and I suffered through hours of "tutorial/reviews" from people that had really no business "teaching" people how to play. I just decided to poke fun a bit.

But the next video I will cover the proper punch again. There's one thing I need to clear up.

  • And what is it?

  • Check your PMs.

  • how do u uppercut?

  • Very nice, 5 stars. I like your style

  • its already on the wii

  • Nice Mortal Kombat reference.

  • in the wii version soda popinski is about twice as fast as he is in the nes version making him one of the toughest in the game.

  • whats the music starting at 00:30???

  • From Fist of the North Star.

  • nice videos! maybe when your done with this I can actually beat the whole game :P

  • These videos are even better than the old ones. Any thoughts of doing a walkthrough for getting as many points as possible?

  • That, sir, is a great idea. I could also throw in some KO strategies, although most are similar.

I hope, when this series is complete, to have every aspect of the game covered, and I didn't even think about high scores since I never really go for them. Awesome thinking!

  • Please do because I wish to learn everything I need to know about this game.

  • KC, you gotta stop making your videos so awesome. You're making the rest of us look bad.

  • is this game in the virtual console?

  • I'm pretty sure Punch Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream is. It's the same game.

  • thanks i'm going to get it and become a pro like you

  • From Wikipedia:

"Reports have surfaced stating that when the game is played in progressive scan, the Virtual Console version of Punch-Out!! suffers from a lag in controls, which significantly raises the difficulty level compared to the NES version."

    My Disclaimer:

I have never played the Virtual Console and do not claim these strategies will work on that version. The only media on which I can guarantee results is the cartridge version of MTPO!! or Punch Out!!

    But good luck :)

  • Personally, I've felt that the Wii controller itself responds a fraction of a second slower than even the old NES controller. Perhaps it's because it's wireless.

  • Glad to have an actual source here. I already get "This video is bullshit!" all the time. Nice to know I can come back with "Well, are you playing on the Wii?"

I've never played the Wii. Thanks for the heads-up.

  • WOW DUDE, I'M SO GLAD I STUCK WITH THIS WALKTHROUGH CUZ I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING AT FIRST. IT WASN'T UNTIL I REWATCHED IT THAT I PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT YOU WERE SHOWING A DATED CLIP. YOU MAY WANT TO BRING THAT TO PEOPLE'S ATTENTION IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!!!

other than that though, hell yeah dude you rock

  • Great job, again! Your walkthroughs really show a lot of work, both in content and visuals. The phase chart, the information, the narrative, everything is very well done. Keep up the great work.

  • Thanks god I this was available to download on the Wii.

I forgot how much I loved this game. I also didn't realize how little I realy knew about this game thanks to these walkthroughs.

  • Dude you rock, I wanna play this game now!
