Musicology is not just about the feel of the music. As a piece this contains a lot of warm notes, and vibrent colorful textures. There are aspects of musicology that concerns itself with the personal characteristics of the music. I agree with your comment about how it feels, but saying that musicology is all to do with numbers is a little narrowminded, in my opinion. Sure there are some musicologists that approach the context of music from a purely statistical point of view. But its not just tht

I used to play this song in my band and have some affection for it. Rapalje make quite a nice sound instrumentally (there's a hidden accordion there somewhere) unfortunately the singing and enunciation is not of the same quality.

welll. Musicologist??? Baaaah! You cant make music a science! Its individual, its more about feeling than precision. I am doing music all my bloody life, and I can tell that I like their singing. Maybe not technically right and perfect. But what the hell??? Its more about how you feel and how you gonna get that feeling into music... And music without feeling is the one that sucks. If you want to analyze music technicaly and put it into "numbers" than it proves that you know nothing about music:)

The villagers of old times weren't masters of their instruments, but they played with true heart and emotion. You can hear that emotion in this music, and that's why it's powerful.

musicologist is bullshit. everybody has a different taste in music, you can't say "that band is bad" cause it's only your opinion. and besides that: this is live, you can't compare this to studio-music.
