I knew a few kids that were scared of guy smiley...I use to mimic guy smiley and scare those kids (quite cruelly I may add), and use my hand to mimic his flappy mouth...ahh good times. I can still do a good guy smiley
Note that Guy didn't say that the five items all had to be non-redundant! Thus, good attention to detail (and cleverness) on the part of Grover with the two cows! Also note that, unlike the Cookie Monster version, the clock here has other numbers on it besides '0' (in fact it doesn't even have a '0'). Just an observation. Thanks for posting!
can anyone tell my if im right or wrong.....grover is the voice of gonzo from the muppet show? and is cookie monster the voice of animal from the muppet show? the the ppl who made seseme street also make the muppet show...coz kirmet the frog is in both....srry fir asking i jus want to know????????
Most of the early characters were voiced and puppeteered by Jim Henson and Frank Oz, exclusively, but as time went on, they found and/or trained many other great pupeteers to join them in this show and others. I don't think they performed the "suit" muppets like Big Bird, Snufflupagus and Barkley, but most characters in SS are just those two geniouses. Telly and Elmo are examples of the "second generation" of muppeteers.
No, Grover is performed by Frank Oz who also performs Cookie Monster, Animal, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Bert. Gonzo is performed by Dave Goelz who didn't become part of Jim Henson's muppet team until 1975 when the Muppet Show was developed. But, I guess Grover and Gonzo's voices do sound pretty similar.
gonzo- dave goelz who is mr between on sesame street, ironic is grover tries real hard to speak correct grammar while cookie speaks almost cavemanish like me go get it
Grover certainly found all 5 things that contain milk. They were: Ice Cream, Cheese, Butter, and 2 Cows (right on the buzzer). Grover certainly did a great job and won.
johnytbird, go to the Comedy Central Web site. Search the COLBERT REPORT under videos. Then click on "Primary Update: Stephen has a helpful suggestion for Rudy Giuliani's Florida Campaign." It's in there.
Last night on "The Daily Show" John Stewart said Mitt Romney was celebrating his Michigan win. He then play a few seconds of this clip. I thought I was going to piss my pants laughing. I never made the connection before but it was a good one.
It made sense that he would use on in the "Letter of the Day" pageant since he had to sing, but "What's My Job" didn't call for a mike at all. It was just like any other game show. Wonder why Guy decided to use one then.
I also noticed the theme song to the one with Grover is the same as the one with Cookie Monster. Anyone know who writes the theme songs for the game shows? Some of them are quite good.
Does anyone know why Guy ran out of one doorway and into another in the beginning? Did he make a mistake, or something? Also, where in Wisconsin did he say Grover was going?
Guy does that quite a lot. Check out "The Eating Game" when he says "here is how we play the game". He's just the sort of guy to do that. Besides people often put on that expression without even realizing it. I assure you, Guy is not mad at Grover.
I know what you're talking about. Except it wasn't Beat The Time, even though it should have been. I have it tapped in Spanish where they had to find two things on The How Many Game.
Hey t-bird . . . it doesn't matter to this huge coffee drinker whether Cookie Monster or Grover played this game first. Whoever did, both skits taste 5,000 times better than a blueberry / marshmallow sundae at Friendly's !
Actually, Muppet Wiki has changed that. Apparently, that wasn't Beat the Time after all. It was another version of Name That Sound. Homer Honker is unable to tell Guy what is making the sounds he hears so he brings them into the studio. Can anyone upload that? And let's bring back the one with Grover too.

Technically it doesn't "contain" milk, but rather, milk contains cheese!
Cheese and butter are derivatives of milk.
