I just finish my first month, awesome program, I really more like this stuff than go to the gym and only push heavy weight, this is harder and you get in real shape not like all these douchebag at the gym who can do nothing but pushing pounds
im sure its it and really works but im already lean, will it get me in prime condition? To put it best can an actual high level athlete get the cardio they need by doing these workouts at 100% intensity?
Looks excellent. I used to always think bigger/heavier is better, but I want to get lean and cut. So I will be starting this program tomorrow. (Cant today cause just finished a leg workout 5 mins ago!)
@ishysticks i wasn't trying to be a smartass. i was. and it doesn't matter how much weight it is. would you do a bicep curl different if it was lighter weight?
Great review. I have done P90X and Rush. If there is a difference between the two it would be that Rush uses "Functional" training, ie. body weight exercises, burpees, BJJ warm-up exercises, etc. Rush is "hybrid" type training and provides total body endurance. P90X builds muscle because of the type of exercises and high cal/protein diet. P90X could be called a "normal" program that uses standard exercises, Yoga, strenuous cardio, Karate. Both are great and you cant go wrong either way!
What's up dude, thanks for the post. Everything made sense w/ respect to the lighter weight, higher rep combo when working out. Although doing this at the gym will get you a couple of strange looks and commenters.
I just bought the dvds couple week ago and already seen result, well I like it so far. This is a great review for the program. I got my through this--> Doiop com/gsprushit
@BiLLaMuayLao Goes through lots of does and don'ts regarding diet and nutrition. Gives advice on when to eat in relation to your workouts and shows how to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate so you know just how much fuel to put in the engine. For those who wan to lose weight and body fat this part of the guide is as useful as the the workout DVD's.
I bought the dvds at the end of last week, did the assessment saturday and started the first DVD on my calendar (Strength & Endurance) today. This was a lot tougher than I could ever have expected even starting at beginner level which I did because I spent 3 months recovering from a motorcycle accident and did not want to end up tearing things. Great review man, honest and informative as the Rush fit program also is hopefully in a few months I will be in as good a shape as yourself.
I have to agree with this review. This program is really awesome and I've gotten great results from it. It is less expensive than P90X and Insanity and you get great results. I've done Insanity as well and love it but I love the Rushfit pace, the fact you use weights, and the workouts are 25 minutes long. I highly recommend this program.
Thanks for the rewiew! This was really interesting and answered ALL of my questions! You did a great job! I have to take three months off from my training at the dojo and was thinking of getting this to compensate. Now I know I'm making the right choice!
would this program be effective as a strength and conditioning program for an MMA athlete? become i am serious about my MMA training so would this help me if my goal is to become a better and well conditioned athlete for MMA? any advice is appreciated thanks
@nickmclovin712 Goes through lots of does and don'ts regarding diet and nutrition. Gives advice on when to eat in relation to your workouts and shows how to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate so you know just how much fuel to put in the engine. For those who wan to lose weight and body fat this part of the guide is as useful as the the workout DVD's.
What are your feelings about building muscle using this workout? Is there enough stress on the muscles to actually build muscle in your opinion? Is seems by venturing down this path this will be your "workout" for the next 2 months... Is it all cardio? Is it just for losing weight? I know about the videos and I know about the dumbbells but my question is : Is this an adequate workout to really gain muslce and lean out?
I am in the same boat as you. I would like to know that as well. My take on it is you would do this first for conditioning, then move on to a "thing" that would help you gain muscle. I would like to know how you got along by the way. Did you get the answer you were looking for (elsewhere) or did you get Rushfit at all?
@Armatige Hey man. I have not found out the answer to my question on this thread nor on my own. However, I have purchased the DVD set and tried it out - If your diet is in check and you do the GSP workouts you will lose weight, and you'll lean out. Harden muscle but I don't think this workout is to increase MUSCLE SIZE. Too light of weights and too many reps for increase in muscle fiber.
Thanks a bunch for the reply mate. I did a little digging and yea you are spot on. In order to build mass you need to use other "things" to work out with. I have a set of free weights. So I think I will use the GSP DVD's and then move on to free weights once I have moved up to the advanced workout. Thanks a bunch for your reply :)
Thank you for your review michael, it definetely convinced me to get the set. I am myself a Mixed Martial Artist so i've a lot of interest on inquiring the set, i would like to ask you a question, After the 8 weeks program can you still using the Dvd i mean by that if you can focus on special excercise for example explosivity only without following the rest of the program? sorry for my english and thank you again. I wish you success on your daily training.
Great review. I actually train in mma myself, and gsp is def an inspiration when it comes to martial arts. I'm a hip hop artist, Johnny Black. Check out some of my material on my channel, JohnnyBlack56ACE. thanks
Great Review...thanks for taking the time out to do the workouts, and post...we get lots of people asking about the program...what do we say...It's awesome? (it is) but an independent review carry's some weight...thanks.
Good Review I would consider getting it. I can see a trailer for the actual video in YouTube some of that trailer would have helped your review (perhaps a licensing issue? ) I believe, but good work
Good review. I just purchased Rushfit this morning and am looking forward to getting started. You mentioned looking into other workout videos where you work along with the video, I recommend 3 videos from "Art Of Strength". The best videos are "Fire Power" "Providence" and "Newport". They are kettlebell workouts and are very challenging. Art of Strength is also on Youtube.
Great review! You are totally right on everything especially on the weights you use, if you use something heavier than 20 lbs. you are going to suffer. I am a two time graduate from P90X but I wanted to try something different and that is why I decided to go with GSP RushFit. What I also liked is the Fight Conditioning Workout because GSP teaches you some basic fighting moves and all the workouts are 5 - 5min rounds.
Hey man, awesome videos! You have excellent content for your relatively low subscriber count, you deserve more subscribers. Keep doing these and I'm sure you'll be famous on youtube one day! =) Thanks again for the time and effort you put in.
@leanbodylifestyle yea just clean bulk right? im starting that now. i believe that cutting and bulking crap doesn't work. ive tried both and i remember i fell off the band wagon when i bulked by eating whatever i want and got lazy.
on the other video i said prove that ur 180 pounds... i guess you did in this video. you've change alot by the way ur chest and back have exploded. have u been clean bulking?
P90x is pretty horrible, seen some of the exercises, way too much lumbar flexion and extension+rotation which increases spinal loading over 400% more that lying down.
I've tried p90x but didn't actually pay for it so I missed out on the booklets you get with it. Probably the reason my nutrition was damn awful during the plan, Can you get this without having to order it from the website? and in the UK
@leanbodylifestyle I think the KEY here is Motivation. Lots of people lack the motivation. Not motivated to join a local gym. Not motivated to workout. A pgm like GSP or P90X helps with the motivation, and you never have to leave the house. And because it's "in your face", and a step by step process, it's almost like having a Personal Trainer in your home. That would be the appeal for many people. Plus the pgm is a good one, and advanced enough to transform you if you will follow it.
I pay 35.00 a month for my gym :( so this video sounds like a great idea cheaper overall and I save driving time to the gym .also I can squeeze in a short workout before off to work ! I like it!
If you don't know the basics, you always can google it and there are some really helpful guys here on youtube who tells you how and what to do, and yes, they do it for free :)
I would only recommand supplements (depense on the goals...), weights or the gym and research on the internet and that's all you need!
I would never recommand anyone to buy that kind of stuff. In MY OPINION it is a waste of your money. Not that I have bought his DVD's and stuff, but simply the fact that there are no secrets for being in better shape, building mass or losing weight. Magical training, magical pills etc. doesn't exist and it all come down to the basics.
@artfulfox There is another one now for $20 at Walgreens named Supreme 90 day system. For the price it's great but the quality does not compare to P90X. So if you cannot afford P90x, that may be a good option.
@artfulfox They are both programs that get people excited about working out which is great. Do you need them to get ripped? No, but they do help people out and give them professional guidance. I'm planning on purchasing one of them...I really like the idea of having something completely different that I've never done thrown into my workout routines and it keeps my body guessing. This program is similar to them from what I can see.
@leanbodylifestyle i have done P90X but i wasn't overweight or anything when i started I just wanted to try something new and i thought P90X was great. It has tons of different exercises that sometimes you would never have even thought of. Also the ab workout is awesome. Ad a weighted vest to the main workouts and ankle weights and dumbbells to the ab workout and you will see some major results.
@leanbodylifestyle i think you will be happy with Insanity. its tough. p90x is good too, but the cardio days are to damn easy. if your willing to spend the money id tell you the best way to go is use p90x but on cardio days use insanity.
Great video. I have just come across this channel and I love what you have done. I think it would be good to do Insanity. Personally, I have just started and I have seen some weight loss changes. Would like to see you thoughts on Insanity.
