Loved it u helped me in my concert this past spring now I am playing all 3 for my audition your feel for the music is something u do better than I. So keep it up
and if it is fast and with fire, you as a musician can move more freely. be you, and everyone is different. thats what makes music music!! i liked the way your played!
Hi, once again i feel as if some ppl who comment on these videos are really harsh and honestly dont help with their negitivity! i loved the emotion! shumann wanted it to be played "with fire" and thats what you did! it was great, and i feel as if your movement is fine. many ppl move alot. the best in the world do. sabine meyer. julian bliss. carl leister, david shifrim, todd levy, etc. its not about how you move its just making sure in the right way. if a part is slow and lyrical move that way!
I've never seen someone jump around so much when playing the clarinet! but apart from that a fantastic performance. trying to learn this piece to perform in less than a month, but thankfully ive got grade 8. (Y)
you jump around too much. you sound fine, and the notes are perfect, but the movement is distracting. a little movement is fine, but this is way too much. good performance otherwise.
this is good but intonation in some places is not the best and i think that there is too much vibrato....i think it spoiles a little bit the soul of the romanticism.......it should be with love but withaut love tricks...if you know what i mean.......but it`s good
interesting dynamics. hmm i dunno how to explain what i mean lol! it seemed very fantasyish lol! but tempo and dynamics were a bit all over the place like the moving! is this on an A clarinet? if so try on a Bb much more of a challenge in B major! the piece is very difficult for piano so bravo! the last few bars should have been faster (schenller) but overall good. lol is ound like such a critic! but i love this piece! :P
totally awesome!!!!!! i love this piece! but i cant move around like that, it distracts me lol I'm too busy concentrating on playing. if anyone has any advice on this piece for me i would greatly appreciate it!! =]
Only the best musicians move to convey more than what is on the page. Performing is also about presentation. It is for means of expression. Amazing as always Jon!
Moving a lot is not the sign of a great musician. The great pianist Horowitz barely moved when playing and no one brought out more expression and colors from the music beyond what was on the page than he did. No offence to those who do move though and this performer is really good.

@anna91oj GET OVER IT. Beautiful sound, so does it matter the means he went to achieve it? Stop being so pompous and relax. Well done PerformerJ :)

If you knew what vibrato was you'd realize that there isn't any in this piece.

no there definitely is.

Esto es Aleman, de caracter más pesante y profundo, me parece que esta tocado muy a la francesa, muy liviano y un poco vanal.
