  • So, what made you think different about the Republican party?

  • @memorast

first came the social issues, then I changed on the role of government and with the economy

  • I think you are being honest and I would like to hear more of what you have to say.

There are a lot of folks that like some of the Republican ideals, and lower taxes. Nobody likes to pay taxes.

But there are a lot of things out there that need to be said, that might shed light on what is right and what is wrong. For instance, what was the tax rate for millionaires in 1950?

    91%.

That's right 91% on anything over 1 million. Facts like this make me question the republicans.

  • 21 years old and you "left" the republican party? Were you even old enough to vote in 2008? I grew up a democrat. My entire family were democrats who switched to republican but we never made YouTube videos about it. It was a personal choice and nobody's business but our own. It's a cute concept and I'm sure all your liberal friends think it's really cool, but you're just a shade disingenuous. Alas, if it makes you feel better, keep up the show.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ

I couldn't vote in the primary. My 18th birthday was in October. One month before the general election. I lived in the right wing universe for about two years after. I'm very open minded. The ground zero mosque controversy was my breaking point. I'll be posting more details about what else happened in future videos.Believe me as of now its much easier to for someone to switch sids than it was for me. I'll be making a video about that too. Thanks for the comment

  • @whyILeftTheGOP - My young friend, there were as many democrats against the ground zero mosque as republicans. Just like there are as many democrats against gay marriage as republicans. It sounds like you're stereotyping. Pray tell, what other reasons did you have? I was a hard-core, dedicated democrat until I sat down and compared my political beliefs. Turns out I was a republican all along and didn't know it.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ

I'd like to hear your story of why you switched. I'll include it in my video about why liberals turn conservative. The GZM was my breaking point, when I watched Bush's post 911 speech. Then I thought why the hell am i against the (NOT)mosque owned by and ex Bush diplomat?, I felt used banboozelled into a hate campaign. Then my mind opened to wonder whether any other group of Americans were being targeted as political whipping boys by th GOP. There were

  • @whyILeftTheGOP - Some how you continue to stereotype republicans, while giving democrats a pass. What part of "there were as many democrats against the ground zero mosque as there were republicans" don't you understand? It's a bipartisan issue. Ask yourself how you would feel if your loved ones were killed in 9-11. Tell me again, how you aren't already a liberal? Sounds kind-of fishy to me... if you'd drop your party affiliation over the exact same things that democrats do.

  • @whyILeftTheGOP - I grew up very poor on a small farm in WVa. My parents were alcoholics, but hard working and proud. My parents would never accept charity in any form. If they didn't earn it, make it or grow it, they wanted no part of it. I grew up with those same values. I didn't want my government telling me what I can and cannot do... giving me freebies if I'll just give up a little bit of my freedom. The democratic party victimizes people, convincing them that only govt can provide for them

  • @NAGGERNUTZ

Sound like the typical Joe the Plumber Republicans take advantage of. People who don't understand what our government actually does. Also whats with your South Park code word screen name?

  • @whyILeftTheGOP - Yeah, those "Joe the Plumbers" that are self sufficient and hard working. Those that aren't whining victims. As opposed to the ones who just can't make it on their own without having someone else take care of them. Democrats are so benevolent that they'll freely give you the shirt off someone else' back. My screen name? Is this where you try to change the subject?

  • @NAGGERNUTZ

Joe the Plumber was on welfare before. And people like him would benifit with a tax cut under Obamas plan more than John MCcain. I find it sickening that MCcain was trying to portary Obama as a tax raiser on people like JTP. Regarding your your screenname, I thinks its relevent to know the type of right winger I'm talking to whose very open about it.

  • @whyILeftTheGOP - So having welfare would be better than having a job?

Regarding my screen name... so you judge people on their name rather than the content of their character? You'll make a great left winger. That is until you get out of school, start a career, get married and have a family... then you'll be conservative again. Nothing like having skin in the game to make you see the light.

  • @whyILeftTheGOP You are exactly right. The GOP via their propaganda machine Fox "News" propped up Joe the Plumber's Helper as an example of how Obama's proposed tax increase would hurt small business. They didn't do their homework and it came out that Joe isn't even plumber, doesn't own a business, and most likely wouldn't be affected by the proposed increase if he did own a business. BTW, it's nice to see someone using critical thinking to come to a good decision.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ "there were as many democrats against the ground zero mosque as republicans. "

    Prove it.

  • @kaysandesses - Are you stupid? YOU prove there weren't.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ You made the claim: back it up or shut up. Your answer reveals volumes.

  • @kaysandesses - Yeah, that's right, I made the claim. Now it's your job to prove me wrong. I asked if you were stupid, I didn't ask you to prove it.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ You can't give proof to support because there is none to support your argument. You know it and I know it. If you had any integrity you wouldn't run away from your lies.

  • @kaysandesses - I suppose next you're going to tell me that only republicans opposed the ground zero mosque? Tell me that absolutely NO democrats opposed it? Are you really that naive? You don't know what integrity is, if you did, we wouldn't be having this dialog. I suppose, in your mind, only republicans oppose abortion. Grow up.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Don't dodge the issue. You claimed that just as many Dem's as Rep's opposed the Park51 project. I asked you to prove that assertion and you can't, because it's a lie.

  • @kaysandesses - Hahahaha! I'm dodging the issue? Think for just a second... I made a claim, you disagree, now it's your job to prove me wrong. I'll wait. Show me any data that proves me wrong. God, you liberals are ignorant.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ You mindlessly parrot the bullshit that Fox "News" launches into the mediasphere each day. You don't check to see if they're right because you fear the truth.

  • @kaysandesses - You mean Fox News? THE number one most watched news network in the world 24-7-365? The same Fox News that has more viewers than ANY left wing news network at any time of the day or night by a 4 to 1 margin? Gee, I guess 75% of the world's viewers don't agree with you. LOL

  • @NAGGERNUTZ The fact that they're the most watch news network proves nothing. They have a 34% share in the news market which means that twice as many people DON'T watch Fox as do. ha ha

  • @kaysandesses - OMG! I'm laughing so hard I'm gonna pee myself. Take a remedial math class Einstein.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Remedial math? Let's see here....Fox "News" has about a 34% market share. That means 66% of people DON'T watch Fox "News". 66 is roughly twice as much as 34. Therefore those who don't watch Fox "News" are double the number of those who do.

There's your remedial math lesson you blathering fucking idiot.

I don't feel the need to waste any more time showing the universe you're a willfully, proudly ignorant, fucknut. You do such a nice job all by yourself.

  • @kaysandesses - Wow! Fuzzy math. Fox News has 34% market share? Really? That means that the other 66% is divided among the other news networks. How many others are there? Let's see... MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, HLN, CNBC, NBC and Current TV. That means that Fox totally dominates network news you math challenged imbecile. Go to tvbythenumbers*com and see the truth. Again, you lose. Take not only remedial math, but also take statistics 101.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ You're such a clueless fucking idiot. Still can't come up with that "proof" that doesn't exist.

    You really should just quit.

  • @kaysandesses - The first rule about holes... when you're in one, stop digging! Do your parents know that you're harassing adults on the computer?

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Also, a recent study showed that Fox "News" viewers are by far the least knowledgeable about actual events. It's nice to see you're proud to be in the stupid crowd.

  • @kaysandesses - A recent study? Prove it. What goes around comes around Einstein.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ The study was done by the University of Maryland. Google "university of maryland fox news study"

See how that's done? I made a claim, and I backed it up. It didn't even hurt. In fact I'm enjoying rubbing your nose in your own shit.

  • @kaysandesses - OK, I Googled "university of maryland fox news study"... here's what I found: "Fox News Viewers Are The Most Misinformed: Study - Huffington Post". Hmmm, Huffington Post? Wow! No bias there [sarcasm].

Here moron watch this: "Fox News Viewers Are Misinformed Study, The Critique" - /watch?v=O8KHOgyYyHQ

You really are a moron. Use all the left wing propaganda you want Einstein. You lose again.

  • @CraigMetalHead yes. look it up.

  • I am British so I am glad to hear when someone leaves the party of "Fuck the rest of the world", just a shame there isnt really a party for you to go to. Its a similar story here in Britain except we have more parties, so when Labour shifted to the Right I didnt have to keep voting for them.

  • It's fascinating how everyone who leaves the GOP has very similar tails.

  • I read was is a racket by Smedly Butler and it changed my life. There are EVIL people out there. It all comes from the Banking System. As they say, follow the money.

  • I woke up about Republicans after Katrina.

  • Everyone and their mother has proved Obama's birth certificate a forgery

  • @PatriotInChief Wait... what? Are you saying Obamas birth certificate is fake?

  • I'm excited already lol ! Welcome to the side of truth (for the most part lol)

  • I left the GOP at Bush vs Kerry. The crap they said about a proven combat vet. Andi keep hearing more, like when the Soldier got a boo during the debit.

  • @Kardiatheon

my mom believed that made up smear about Kerry for 5 years

  • Come on over to learning about human rights and social justice. Go beyond either modern US party to true support for all people. Cheers.

  • The republican party has been hijacked by neocons and blindly supported by people who have no clue as to what a conservative actually is.

Within the current political scene centered around a two party system, one needs to take back the party, not leave it, in order to effect change.

  • @character654 Your effect change is stupid ass hell. You don't have a clue on how to fix anything. The republicans are the true threat to the american way of life. You morons don't have a clue. As a matter of fact, Your republicans are the worst part of america. REPUBLICANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORST THE WORST DEPRESTION OF ALL TIME. IT BANKRUPTED EVERY ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY. THE ONLY THING REPUBLICANS ARE GOOD AT ARE THERE LIES. wake up before you find your self on the wrong at the end.

  • @40247 Mainstream Republicans are a threat, as well as Democrats. They spout different rhetoric but their voting records are basically the same. Big banks ( the fed included) are responsible, the Republicrats are guilty of aiding and abetting.

    I am awake.

  • Welcome to the light my friend!!!

  • You lefty commie liberal socialist maoist um... socialism hitler muslim liberal godless commie... did I say hitler? hahah jk =) I left a long time ago never looked back.
