I love this story from gary yourofsky! There is an awakening of all the viciousness that we subject animals to. It's all around - if people only opened their eyes! Every evil deed from stealing and destroying their homes to butchering them. All without "necessity" - Go Vegan Go ELF!
Equating circuses with farm animals is misleading. Farming is essentially bringing hunting to its most effective method. Were human hunters to ceaselessly hunt, prey animals would become extinct. By raising animals for food, we're productively feeding ourselves. There is nothing morally wrong with eating meat. Raising farm standards is a fine goal. 'Animal liberation' is foolish.
@TTSinPA Let's define "foolishness," shall we? Is taking life when you don't need to foolish? Is destroying the only planet on which we can survive foolish? Is slowly killing oneself with cholesterol courtesy of one's own food choices foolish? I'd say all are foolish, and the meat, dairy, and egg industries support all three.
