I gave my son hell for putting a can in our regular garbage. Then I read the newspaper, which said Canada will be importing another million people again next year. How stupid I am. I give my son hell over a can, and our government brings in more people to pollute our environment.

That's just fools speak. The world population is on it's way to infinity. If you cut pollution by even 90%, it won't matter. this is awesome. i totally agree with recycling. i mean why should we just throw something away when it can be broke down and used again? a lot of the stuff that is thrown away is not biodegradable. it just sits there forever and ever and takes up space. and why shouldn't it be our responsibility to recycle? we kinda live on the same earth, it's our home. the government shouldn't be responsible for everything, we need to do our part too.

It is a governments responsibilty to create biodegradeable packaging and to enforce it's use.

There should be laws about it but sadly the world is not as forward thinking as i.

1. No need for government intervention. Packaging engineers in the private sector will always try to create better packaging witall on their own. Beer cans today use 1/2 the metal they did in the 60's.

Whatever goes in a landfill stays there. Biodegradation is beside the point.

Recycling is a waste of time and money. Think about recycling is making more pollution then were solving. You have to landscape land that endangers speices. Then you have use wood; cut down trees, then you know it will us electricity; which makes the power plants work harder and makes more smoke. I rather produce garbage than recycle.
