I sang this in District Choir last year, and every time, EVERY TIME I hear it, it gives me chills, especially at "Renew your youth, restore your soul!!" Excellent job!!!!
We sang this in the Chapel of St. John the Divine in NYC. It is an awesome song and the acoustics in the 600 ft long cathedral made the final note ring for almost 25 seconds.
We're singing this song for our graduation. The last part always gives me the chills. This by far is the best recording I have ever heard of this song. Kudos to the soprano who had the high C at the end!!!
I wish our performance was this good. We sang it for a combined choir, and it sounded quite the same. Very nice blend, you could switch listening from one section to the next or let it all blend.
Awesome work on the descant at the end. Ours ended up a little wobbly and weak.
Northern Kentucky Honor Choir is doing this peice this year. and it is my favorite, and in the middle of our rehearsal i alomst broke into tears when 2:36 hit. Beautiful!
I absolutely LOVED this performance! I have watched tons of recordings of choirs singing this song and there is always one part overpowering the others, notes going sour or whatnot. This, by far, has to be the best sounding choir I've heard sing this song! All parts were amazing! Nobody was overpowering, great vowels, sounds! :) Terrific! Congrats on the high C at the end sopranos! It came out pure! :) 2 THUMBS UP!!!

There is a 6th Grade chorus doing this in New York. Everybody calls the teacher crazy, but they're really good.
