This video was made in 2000...not a combat jump into any other country...as I remember it...it was on Normandy drop zone on Fort Bragg N.C. before 9-11. I know this because I was pulling DZSO duties that night...Incredible how people lie!!!!
22OCT of what year? I can tell you that the 82d hasn't done a combat jump outside of training since Panama, let alone into Afghanistan. The last time that it was even considered was during OIF III when a battalion was slotted to combat jump into the northwestern Iraqi town of Fawga. Plus, even at the beginning of Afghanistan, the 82d and SF were using the MOLLE system, not the LCE, which is obviously in use in this video. Be ashamed of yourself for saying you did a combat jump with the 82d.
I wish everyone on Youtube that posts a comment could learn how to spell. Anyways, I can't wait to join the 75th Ranger Regiment. My MOS I want is 11b, 11Bravo. After that, I want to get into SFOD-D. You know what i'm talking about if you're in the know...
HAHAHA this is funny, whom ever posted this was trying to pass off a jump at night as a combat jump. Those are the old BDU's and OLD Helmets before we transferred into the ACU. LOL what a douch bag.
btw, number 7 good shuffle and clean exit, very aware of your surroundings, almost made me think you weren't as heavy laden as the guys before you waddling towards the ramp. I always felt bad for the guys jumping with that big a** bulky dragon strapped under their arm.
A true glimpse inside of a can of major whoop ass. Been there too my friend. 5th Group for 8 years, 63 jumps, long ago though. Good to see you posting stuff like this, its an aphrodisiac for me.
I did it just once...at jump school in Altenstadt! I was landing far outside the zone - right beside a cow which moaned after . Then after a 10 minute walk there was this sign: "Ende des Absetzplatzes"...
@barib007 GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! Gaaaawd! I miss it! Busted my back and hip, so no more Army for me, but Airborne was the best thing I ever did, to date.
damn thats crazy all u see is them walkin off the ramp into the darkness damn there heart must be pumpin so fast still thinkon if i should join the navy or be a airborne ranger there a big difference
Thats why you'll never do what they do. They don't wish they were in the navy, a combat jump is their dream, its what you signed up for and trained for years to do.
U cant tailgate a c-141 because of the way the air vortex circulates behind the 141! Thats the answer to your question! Im a ex-rigger with E co 782nd Maint Bn 82nd Abn Div.
You need to re-name this video to Combat Equipment Night Jump. The title is misleading to those who do not know any better. Everyone in SOCOM knows 525 didn't jump into 'ghan or Iraq.
I used to be in the 82nd ABN DIV w/A CO 3/505 PIR and that definitely was a training jump and they are exiting a C-141 Aircraft. The opening looks too small to be a C-5. Either way....that is what its all about. Hoooooah!!! Airborne All the way!!!
528 and 82nd. Hmmm not likely. I didn't see any 82nd patches there. I did see a USASOC patch though. 528 def didn't drop into AFG. Whats the deal with the description...change it to what it is....as is it is pretty fucking cool. Would be a nice change over the CASA 212 every time though.
CARP has nothing to do with going out the door or ramp. CARP is the type of release, meaning you are letting the Air Force decide when you exit the aircraft. Good luck with that. GMRS and VIRS are more accurate as long as your DZSO has a clue
The guys had combat equipment on. How fast can you walk off of the ramp of a C130 with a rucksack banging against your legs? Also, you wait until the dudes head is below the ramp before you step off to maintain proper distance. Get a clue before you comment
THIS IS A TRAINING JUMP, NOT INTO A COMBAT ZONE....trust me I used to be an Airborne Ranger in Ft. Benning, with 3rd Ranger BN...i jumped into afghanistan on OCT 19, 2001...besides that its a good footage....good music too....
The 82nd DID make a combat jump into Afghanistan. It was only about 70 men and it was to support the Rangers. It was classified for awhile. Do some research.
You aint got to lie to kick it! Lmao!

C-141 ramp jump? You can't jump a 141 ramp. Have you ever seen how the ramp opens on a 141?
fuzzle160 4 years ago
They can airdrop cargo from the ramp of a C-141 so why can't they have a jump from a ramp?

That's not a C-141 that's a MC 130.
