Hey, I have not used IMVU's Previewer in quite a while, but the last time I did they still had not updated their exporting tools to work with current versions of 3ds Max. The Exporter works for 3ds Max 7 and sorta works for 3ds Max 8, later versions are problematic. My best recommendation is to check the IMVU forums.
User charleyboy74 has some pretty good tutorials on basic modeling techniques. I would recommend starting with 'Modeling a fish in 3ds max part1' (tried to post the link, but for some reason YouTube didn't seem to like that....)
heehee! really helpful. I'm decent with UVW but didn't know how to use the stitching functions. that was a seriously labor-intensive mesh... >.< wowsers. great comic relief moment! :D ~holydust

i just got 3ds max 2010 and trying to get a sword i made on 3ds max to imvu previewer how do i do so? so i can submit it to imvu?
