techno\trance\"dance club beat" all share a lot of similarities. Very little difference between them except perhaps how they came about. For all practical purposes, if a song is created using synthesizers, it's techno genre. But people, seriously, is there really a need to dispute this point?!?!? WHO THE HECK cares what it's "technically" classified as....it's all combinations and sequences of harmonics and sound waves mixed into a pleasurable thing known as MUSIC, no need to fight over it.
