Great song. Cool to look back and see all of our comments from when we all came together from different roads and Dan brought our paths together. Ever On.
I was actually at this concert! The best musical artist ever in my opinion. And this song will always mean more to me than I can ever say in words. Dan was always best at singing my feelings, and he still is. I miss him. Rest in peace Dan. Your legacy lives on!
He never received all the recognition as a great song writer that he truly deserved. I was a huge fan back in the 70's and followed his career throughout. I just wish people would have given him the accolades that James Taylor and Jackson Browne received, because I think he was just as talented.
Dan Fogelberg, one of my Heros. Thanks to You Tube and all his fans I can finally see him perform his music. I never had the honor of seeing him live and his music beats strong in my heart from the 70's. I am sad he's left us and so humbled to know all of his music. Thank You Dan.
I started listening to Dan Fogelberg when I was a kid. I still love his music to this day. He was a true artist. The one thing I regret is that I never had a chance to see him live. Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. Its the next best thing!
@wrh61 I don't know, but I have always felt as if he could have written the song for me and a long lost love--the mark of a great song and great songwriter.
@wrh61 a girlfriend in Tennessee which is also who he wrote about in the song Old Tennessee...only she wasn't really pregnant when she left him. LOL...if you listen to this and then listen to Another Old Lange Syne back to back it is as iff Old Lange was the end of this story...his writing is phenominal...we miss you Dan
I saw this concert when it came to Minneapolis in '97. I had to drive to Madison, Wisc. in "03 to see the "Full Circle Tour" concert as he wasn't going to be coming to Minnesota. It was the last time I was going to see him alive. I miss you, Daniel Grayling Fogelberg.
So sad.. Another year without Dan. Tim, thank you so much for all of your efforts putting his songs/videos in one place. Just a question - anyone hear some Neil Young in this?
@whec65 Yes there is a Neil Yong flavor to this song....It's called "pardon my heart". I've always looked at DF as a college educated, cultured, polished version of Neil....enjoy them while they there here as their kind will never be seen again...
@1perfectstranger2u on Dan's new CD he sings Birds by Neil Young...he planned that song to be his last he ever recorded and put on a CD very profound!!
7-09-Having listened to Fogelberg since High School and having picked out most of his early music from his albumbs,I still find it hard to believe he is gone.Finding these videos on-line has been quite a cathartic process for me.Although I still feel his loss every time I pick up my guitar.
I am very grateful to be able to watch this video, to hear him do this song live. Dan was an extremely talented singer; a truly gifted songwriter and musician. I so love hearing his older songs done in more recent times...there was a maturity to his voice, a deeper resonance (vocally and emotionally) that completes the journey of the song, from the soul of the artist to the souls of all who have been blessed enough to hear him.
I saw Dan just a couple days after this video was done, while he was in his home town of Peoria. He told stories of his high school days and playing acoustic guitar up on Grandview Drive. I saw him probably 10 times in concert overall. A great songwriter, a great musician, and a hell of a person. This song never fails to get to me. Rest in peace, Dan.
My God I love this song..thank you so much for posting this. I had the chance to see Dan live only once..this would have been so awesome to be a part of. We miss you Dan.
a very powerful song, I totally understand why "this time sing a little more slowly" at the ending, so much love and feeling still last.... thank you for posting one of my favorite!

Thanks Tim,
That was awesome. I needed that. The world really isn't the same place anymore, but that reminds me of times that once were...
