This is awesome, I searched for indoor trees because I have a six foot avocado tree in my 8 foot apartment and am curious as to how it might adapt/take over my apartment.
It would be great if you could upload a current video of the ficus if at all possible!
i just recieved a a ficus tree in very poor condition, im trying to revive it as it still has some green left on the branches no leaves just wood, any ideas?
@Xeidasx : Your tree sounds like it might be dead. Try cutting one of the branches, if it is still moist and doesn't snap there might be hope. Should there be life in it, put it somewhere with lots of light, mist the tree and make sure it is watered well, but don't drowned it.
It goes outside for the summer, and in for the winter. But this summer it may not go out, been too cold, and they are pretty heavy. We are getting worried they will bring the deck down. (We have three big trees like this.)
do you still have that tree?? can you send me a cutting?

@hooodrichtg We still have the trees. They are a regular ficus tree(also know as a weeping fig) and can be found at most any garden center.

When she got it, 20+ years ago, it was about 12 to 24 inches tall. It is now 15 feet.

Yes, and no. It goes out in the summer, comes in for the winter...so far it can still make it out the door with four people moving it.
