  • A marvellous performance indeed! And I am very glad that it is using the original piano accompaniment. Can't say any of the orchestra transcriptions do much for me.

  • Chinese, Scottish, mongolian. Folk culture. She captures everything. We probably won't hear from her again but it doesn't matter. She has changed our lives. She has changed me.I'm learning the Erhu, Kenny McAlpine of Glasgow Scotland. Left handed as well. Fuck it, why not?.

  • I'm in love :-)

  • She soooo easy on the eyes but very!! easy on the ears!!!! I think she even puts the American violin to shame...

  • She soooo easy on the eyes but very!! easy on the ears!!!!

  • The best, absolutely the best of the best, sweet Yu hong-mei, China's heroine!

  • She is definitely the leading erhu player from not only China but the whole world. Her facial expression and other non-verbal communcation skills as a musician artist are unmistakbly the best I have ever seen from China. Her beauty is solemn and prevailing, elevating her music to a higher level.

She is among the leaders in this new 21-century Chinese Renaissance!

  • @david1234lee I absolutely agree. Her skill on the erhu and the quality of it's sound is unmatched.

  • @sstimac Thanks.

Well, beside all these, she is my inspiration and daily bread in the Biblical sense!

  • @david1234lee Hah, no she's not, Song Fei is. Yu Hong Mei is still young and has many years ahead of her to play more repertoire from different parts of China.

  • @zephyr2050

They are both great. Sung fe is marvellous but Yu is superb. I heard a Wall-Street multi-million investor has been chasing her and he is from Taiwan. If that is so, then she would probably quit and live in a mansion and not have concerts any more. Hope this does not happen.

  • My god, so enchanting.

  • Yu's best artistc achievement. The lyric deals with memory of Hebei, a northern province in China in which Beijing is situated, during war time. Broken homes, separated, abandoned villages, pillaged towns, hunger, sufferings and death, echoing the tragical chapter in China's recent history. Yu's music carved into the mind and soul of an age gradually fading away but still vividly remembered. Her art not only describes lives but regenerates and reinvents. She is my idol!

  • 演奏技巧登峰造极,感情丰富。钢琴伴奏亦佳,天衣无缝。

  • heavenly experience from start to finish!!! absolutely brilliant!! have to listen to this atleast twice a day.
