You've obviously never hauled a large boat on an aluminum trailer. It's not the axles that are making noise, it's "give" in the trailer frame. More common than you think.

Looked like an "oversize load" to me... is that boat over 8'6" wide, if so, you needed an oversize load permit, oversize load signs on front and back of vehicle, and flags on the widest part of the load.

You probably would've saved gas if you just took the boat down there haha. My dads truck is a F250 4x4 with a V10 and towing a 20 foot proline center consul we went through a full tank of gas from Punta Gorda to Homestead. Full tank of gas is 42 gallons for anyone who wondered.

@benzguylv Wouldn't hurt but the 6.8L Triton V10 is 310 hp and 425 lb·ft torque. The 6.0L/7.3L Powerstroke V8 is 325/250 hp and 570/505 lb·ft torque. The additional torque would be nice from getting off the line but it appeared not to struggle so it might of been okay for them.

Scary,no oversize signs,flags ,or no oversize special hauling permit oviously as required by law . check out the little tie strap on the bow,looks like a accident waiting to happen.then throw the fact that the net weight of a 45 Ex caliber wellcraft weighs 14,600 without fuel ,then throw the weight of the trailer on top, he's pulling close to 19,000 pounds on a class 3 hitch only rated for 10,000 pounds on a good day and it all is riding on a 5/8" hitch pin makes you think twice.

@MrYachtsalvage That truck of that year was only rated to tow about 11,000 lbs according to Ford, Hes at least 8,000 lbs over towing capacity, and probably dosn't have a hauling permit or CDL. The newer Ford F450 is the only non-commercial pickup truck that could tow this and be within the towing capacity If something went wrong and someone got hurt he could've faced some major lawsuits.
