"Lovely Rita"! That's one I've thought of, so it's on my list of "songs to do someday". Curious as to Travis who? Is there his version here on YouTube? And thanks.
when my dad got me the White Album i was blown away by this song. it is still one of my favorites. and now you've done it wonderfully. i gave you 5 stars.
I wonder about something, and if anyone knows the answer, ples=ase jump in. I suspect it was called "C-melody" because while all the other saxophones are transposing instruments (and would be reading parts for horns in Bb and Eb), the C-melody player could simply read from the vocalists' charts without having to transpose, and thus more easily able to provide the "melody" in place of a singer.
Yes, well. They called the thing "C-melody" whether it was being melodic or not. And it appears there has been one rating---that wouldn't be yours, would it?
It's neat to see little-known instruments show up like that. There's a good Wiki article on it, talking about the mouthpiece being designed for quiet playing in the parlor, and the range between tenor and alto.
I confess, I rated you. What fun would it be if I couldn't razz you about your ratings cravings ??? LOL
wish you had kept the descending notes on guitar after "feeling so upset"... other than that it is a brilliant rendition... love the sax...

Well, they're all OK except that drummer. Can't keep time. Which is why we don't show him.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking he was the weak link, but didn't like to say. But the rest of you are great!

Sounded like a rhythm part on that melody saxophone. But that's OK. Any ratings yet?
