  • Can this commercial be any more blatantly racist?

  • Just lost

  • Praise God for The Salvation Army!!

  • Thank You,Lord for Your amazing grace! Thank You for Your love! =)

  • I applied at a Local Salvation Army store. I was told that HR would not approve my application due to my Theft conviction. Think about this before you put that change in the red bucket! I feel broken already! I want a reason to Live. Have you heard about the word redemption? I guess that is just Bible talk . Redemption does not apply to this Morally Federal Funded Christian group. Do you think that they are doing the most good now?

  • @rmager3571 well you see, if you have a theft conviction theyre affraid of you stealing the stuff there. Im not saying you would, its been 3 years since my theft conviction, and it was over somehting really stupid, but i did it and i have to live with the consequences. Put it this way, if you ran your own business, would you want to hire someone with a theft conviction and take the chance of them stealing from you?

  • God bless the salvation army and all they do to keep the gay filth down and broken

  • salvation army = racist homophobic pigs

  • lol i thought this was the song AMAZING GRACE

  • Thank God for His grace and for the people who work with the Salvation Army to help the desperate...especially in this difficult economic time.

  • So you want me to give you money so you can lobby my government to do things I don't like to people I have no problem with for reasons I don't agree with. No thanks.

If you're an army, you can consider us to be at war.

  • @SnarkLicker What's your reasoning behind that comment? I don't understand.

  • @DannyIgnite /watch?v=FXcSQ6OW6oA

    This should help you understand.

  • @OZombieJesus You don't support them because they don't support homosexuality? Whether your beliefs are more "noble" in your eyes, you can't say they don't do a great good. They don't hate homosexuals, they just believe marriage was meant for a man and a woman, along with most of America. They help millions of ppl w/o asking their orientation. They don't base their beliefs on an irrational hatred but on the Bible itself. Your quarrel is not with the Salvation Army, it is with the Word of God.

  • @DannyIgnite I'm not in any way saying that they don't do great things, I'm saying that they do terrible things too. Refusing support to homosexuals, trying to get exemption from laws, etc. does not exactly make them seem like an honest organization to me.

  • @OZombieJesus @1982mockingbird1982 Do you support everything that comes your way? Evey single issue you come across? No, because you have your set of beliefs. I respect that. If you don't want to donate your resources, don't. They're a non-profit organization, so of course they shouldn't have to be subject to certain special laws & taxes. Saying their stand on homosexuality is wrong, terrible & evil is very ignorant of you. They provide so many things for all ppl, bcuz they love & hope for them.

  • @DannyIgnite Its the volunteers and donors that actually provide the rescources that 'do good' and these include ppl like me who support, gays, oppose discrimination, and arent Christian. Their NYsoup kitchen stunt misappropriated rescources from us and from the homeless we intended to help in order to further a discriminatory agenda. They are entitled to their beliefs, but not entitled to use our rescources to further them, let alone commit theft, extortion and persecution in 1 fowl swoop.

  • Love this song enough already but... this is good.

  • Atheists are furious for some reason.

  • im so downloading this and making a funny video

  • This gives me chills.

  • most amazing commercial ive ever seen. i cried bc it is 100% absolutely true. it speaks to me, you know?

  • when i first seen this commercial on tv i thought it was a intervetion commercial because i always seen it on the same channel as intervetion lol..and i laugh so hard at this everytime lol..

"meth freak" that part really makes me laugh lol

  • lmfao does this not make anybody die from laughter? "...that saved: A CRACK HEAD"

ps that dude aint sober no way in hell

  • @myccxoxo It makes me laugh everytime I see it lmaoooooo!!!!!

  • @PKForney OMG MEE TOO!! haha im glad you share my humor

  • @myccxoxo please shut up. this is a great thing. it is serious and not at all funny.

  • @lilmisssparra LOL at this girl

  • @britlovesmel Bad news, brit. Crack may have gotten you through some rough times but it appears it seriously damaged your brain in the process. Sorry about that.

  • @minowekay nah the crack didn't hardly put a dent in me. cigarettes really fucked my shit up.

  • @britlovesmel Ahhh. You and Barack both, I guess.

  • @minowekay minoweGay, your mom is my angel dust dealer.

  • this commercial moved me to tears. everybody deserves a shot at redemption.

  • This PSA really moved me to tears........says a lot about addiction and how the Army helps those who help themselves

  • The Salvation army is full of fake christian, greedy, and two faced people. They help maybe 3 out of 450 people at there rehab a year then work them like slaves. Then when they kick a person out for a mistake or for something stupid like missing a morning devotion, they most likely go back to there old ways or committ suicide..

  • @0905christian it sounds like you have had a terrible experience but it's not right to judge all based on a few.

  • God bless all

  • Awesome!

  • What you do for one you do for ME.

  • I believe you are quoting (or trying to at least) from Matthew 25:40? What is one of the key words in this scripture passage? It is "brethren". Who are the Lord's brethren? Everyone is not the Lord's brethren. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that you shouldn't help people who are in need and our Lord even gave the parable of the Good Samaritan, but you must understand that you can give a man all he needs to eat and if he doesn't know Jesus Christ as his Savior he is as lost as before.

  • @rdmsinner The original purpose of the Salvation Army was to Give people food, cleanliness, and salvation, (soup, soap, and salvation.) General Booth wanted to help feed the poor, clean the dirt, and teach the people about Jesus Christ. The Salvation Army is working way better than it was in the late 1800s. We now have kettles, toy shops, Rehab centers, thrift stores, etc. The Army is almost exactly how General Booth wanted it to be.

  • What does the man say after the guy says meth freak? sounds like he's saying "a rich"? I don't understand

  • A wretch

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby: same here...i have the same question. im trying to replay it at that mark coz im writing an advertising critique. can anybody help?

  • @09Chance thank you my dad wrote this commercial no joke

  • it made me have goosebumps..very moving made me think ayee! and perfect for skool project :)

  • very powerful!!

  • wow. great job. So simple and yet so powerful. Just like Jesus 3 yeras and he was gone. Yet he changed the world.

  • ....goosebumps

  • So beautiful. Makes you want to stop talking about getting involved and actually get involved. Thank you Jesus Christ ; >

  • Where can I get a copy of the music on this?

  • Dont worry I laughed at the crackhead part...its just so random.

  • Crack head!? LOL, I'm sorry but that was funny... It's really good, really good!

  • i kno. im not suppose to laught buht when he said crack head. i fell out..lol..

    forgive meh god!

  • i'm so glad that America hasn't completely lost touch with God. Saved by grace! This song led me to the Lord.

  • Humbling....

  • I watch this commercial about once a week to remind myself where I come from. I was broken, sad, lost. With only the grace of God, something I could do nothing to deserve or earn, I am now found. I hope this commercial lights the path for somebody else.

  • my uncle made this

  • he said meth freak.

  • This totally and completely ROCKS!! God bless...and look for the band "Sabbath Seven" on myspace, LOL!

  • favorite commercial.

  • One of the best commercials ever

  • This commercial makes me cry for some reason... It's beautiful. <3

  • Just saw this; I love it. :)

  • great video I am a graduate and an employee at the San Jose A.R.C and truly god lives and works within the ARC praise the lord!

  • Stereotypes will always be there.

Don't forget where YOU came from.

Pray for those who are still out there

as well as those who don't understand.

    Thank the Lord.

  • love this commercial

  • MY PARETNS WORK AT THE SALVATION ARMY ARC! They halp these people too. Everyday i see these people get their lives changed. This video is truth, its great too. Praise God for the Salvation Army, for without it, who knows where millions and millions of salvation army officers, and the people in the ARC, and crops would be.

  • Can i ask you something, those people that change their lives because of SA, are they converted? Are they Christians?

  • I'm pretty sure that are. I don't know for sure, but not only seeing from this, but becasue they were chosen for this, they are Christian. For our comericals, we tend to choose people who show God in their lives, and who walk by His side.

  • @UchihaItachi8989 not always

  • AMEN! The Will of God Will Never Take Us Where The Grace of God Will Not Protect Us! Thank God for the Salvation Army.

  • I love the message! Great! But the "crackhead" was pretty random at first

  • Yeah, it was sort of sudden, wasn't it? It almost made me laugh before I realized what the commercial was saying.

  • omg yall get a sense of humor, i support the salvation army i just happen to think the first line of this commercial is funny

    geeeeeez

  • Anyone who finds this "hilarious" has either never been in that hell or isn't ready to leave it. I LOVE this commercial!

  • I think that this is beautiful. The Bible says that Jesus came to give grace to everyone, because we all need it. Grace to crackheads, grace to strippers, grace to soccer moms, grace to those who don't think that they need it. The reality is we all need it, we all are fallen. Only Christ can provide it.

  • am i the only one who finds this hilarious? amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a crackhead?

  • You might need SA's help one day. I dont think you'll find it funny then.

  • @getupoutmyfacebiotch what is a wretch? That is what the song says "that saved a wretch like me" Wretch = a person living under very unhappy circumstances; 1.A miserable, unfortunate, or unhappy person...would this not describe the crackhead, meth freak, and alcoholic in the video?

  • @getupoutmyfacebiotch anyone can change, do you know that?

  • I love this commercial. It sends the message of what the S.A. is really out to do.

To bring salvation to those that need it.

We all have our imperfections, troubles, and beauties. Sometimes all we need is a little help.

  • @rleary1 Mr. "leary" I created this commercial for The Salvation Army. And I just want to tell you, we filmed folks who were genuine recovering addicts and very sweet people just telling their honest stories. They described themselves however they chose. We edited this from exactly what they spoke. There was no bias given to show women as better than men. It was created as it was told. - Reading some of your other posts, I am very sorry for your wife's betrayal. May you find healing and peace.

  • @odessyrcr589 thank you my dad wrote this commercial and it really makes me happy to see all the good comments on his commercials:)

  • simply "Amazing"!

  • wonderful

  • This was a great video. Inspiring and true. God has no hands nor feet. We are the hands and feet of God. If we don't move to heal the world then it will not get done. I have always had a soft spot for the Salvation Army since my days in the Army.

  • "God has no hands nor feet. We are the hands and feet of God"

That's silly. God needs no hands or feet. We are not here to "help" Him. We are here to worship and glorify Him. And our acts of charity are a small part of doing that.

But it is a great ad!

  • This rocks man!!!!

  • I think this is one of the most beautiful Salvation Army ads I've ever seen. What a wonderful message! Such a nice touch at the end to remind us that the goods we donate helps to save lives. Thank you!
