  • Why is this banned ??? This should be compulsory viewing !!

  • @cSodeej I have a friend whose youngest boy went to punch his mother whilst i was there. fortunately his elder brother reacted quickly and smacking him right across the face in time to stop the punch hitting his mother. The younger one was only mildly criticized but the elder one one congratulated for his intervention. He even apologized to his younger brother for not being able to think of a way to stop him without hitting him. I was impressed by the elder boy.

  • very stong clip

  • This ad should be receiving awards!!!! hope it did!!!

  • filmed at st james st sydney

  • barbaraannsmith - what naked almost women.... the part with a man about to belt the women didnt strike you as odd but almost naked women did.... wow

  • I cried a bit :/

  • This was not banned.

  • looks like the new promo for Housos! :D

  • The funny thing about this is in order for it to be relevant it would have to have some people OTHER than white people. What the fuck, are all the people setting bad examples white? Fuck.

  • @Billbill80s leave it for some asshole to totally miss the point cause it was JUST some white people...

  • @tune120172 We get criticised for being racist off and on for no real credible reason, yet this raises no concern as racism. Had all the people in this been from non-white backgrounds THEN the shit would have hit the fan... I'm hardly an asshole for seeing that. Who the fuck can't see that?

Secondly don't insult me, I didn't insult you.

Good advertisement message, not an accurate portrayal.

  • Anyone have the chords for this song?

  • In my business it is called the gift that goes on giving, why is it banned?? it is a great teacher

  • @barbaraannsmith yeh there's no escaping it!

  • @barbaraannsmith, what are you talking about? There were no 'almost-naked' women in that ad - all were fully dressed. I'm amazed that you can somehow see under-dressed women in this ad AND think it's wrong enough to comment on, but not comment on the wife-bashing husband and copycat son...wow. Unless of course you are from a culture which believes women should wear head-to-toe clothing and are viewed as property, in which case, your opinion does not matter.

  • Simple yet very effective -we need controversal ad's like this to make a point.

  • What a great ad, thanks for posting. These type of hard-hitting ad's are sadly lacking today. Given the lack of respect in today's teenagers, this ad seemed to be saying this is what we're in for in 20 years -and they were right!

  • Powerful.

  • This ad wasn't banned, I use to watch it, but it was shorter.

  • I dont know why they banned this video, It only sends the message that parents behaviour directly affects how your children are voing to behave. They have got so much violence related games and videos but it only proves how much government cares about the children. Since they cant make money of the add its easy to just ban the add. What a bunch od conservative idiots.

  • They should not of band this! Kids watch movies with ppl killing each other you think an ad will ill behaviors is going to effect them!

  • Brilliant ad..and sadly...SO TRUE.

Children must be sheilded from all the bad things of the world...sadly they arn't and i think thats a crime.

  • HAHAHAHAH Loved that kid telling the Chingy to back where he came from.

  • @Torment47 You're a dumb fuck. Chingy isn't a word so get your head right fuckwit.

  • @AUsernameFORU yes im a dumb fuck and your a loser who spends to much time on you tube.com who has to use the internet for "Big Tough words..."

  • @Torment47 I'm not the loser here. I'm someone who isn't a fucking racist ignorant bitch. Big tough words? I'm not going on about grammar here buddy. If you're calling asian people 'Chingy' in the streets then god I hope you get beaten to death by those 'chingys'. You're a loser to think this is funny and you're a loser to say such a word that offends an entire race of people. How about you open up your vocabulary and your fucking mind.

  • @AUsernameFORU Your still going on about this? i totally forgot about it agggggges ago. who said i was racist? my best mate is Chinese... & my other mates are wogs... you sound like a very serious person.. im guessing you play MW3?? or some emo fag who hates life, my vocab?? ha, im just fat and lazy... serious.

  • LOL! Who's the idiot who called this public service announcement "socialist"? So, showing kindness to other people is a type of socialist behavior? Gee, I thought showing kindness to others was some other type of behavior. Oh, yeah -- I remember it now: It's called Christian behavior.

  • @TheSwiftMoving I dont think you know what socialism is.

  • lol it wasent even banned here in aus, iv seen it manyyyy times on tv

  • This AD is TOTALLY FALSE and should be banned. It is depicting a generalized and stereotypical view that doesn't even represent the true dynamics of modern society. This ad is typical of a socialist agenda that is gaining momentum in the west. I understand the message about how our actions can influence our children but I reject the way in which it has been done, using outdated and quite frankly offensive stereotypes. While external factors do influence children, genetic disposition does more.

  • @TheSwiftMoving Socialist agenda? It's a simple message, kids copy what their parents do, bad or good. Does reality have a liberal bias or something?

  • Actually this ad wasn't banned. It screened for at least six months that I can recall.

  • This ad is brilliant and should be shown. Why did they ban it? It doesn't show anything that isn't already being shown on tv anyway. I hate censorship and I hate society being mollycoddled by political correctness and lied to by our politicians.

  • ... When was this ad banned?

  • Sad that our existence has revolved around wealth maximisation, individual career progression and all things iPod/Pad etc...Yet the nurturing of children is neglected. Well done to the producers of this commercial. Children are a reflection of their parents more often than not and modern day parenting has a lot to answer for.

  • good add.

  • If it has been banned in the U.S. I would imagine that the reasons are because of the flipping the bird and the kid smoking. I think those are against the FCC. It's an excellent ad, though--it would be good to see it in the U.S.

  • go back to ware you came from hahaha because that was even bad hahaha my kids will be tought that for shure

  • Anyone know the agency who produced this TVC?

  • Comment removed

  • As an advertiser I would not want my product's ad to shown too close to something this dark.

  • @spikeslawson It's not selling a product though. I think for the subject matter it's perfect. It should shock people into thinking. Were too wrapped up in our cotton wool world some times.

  • It's not banned for being too true, but it comes across as being too graphic and upfront. The same reason why some smoking ads are banned.

  • @TraceurTaine this to graphic and up front ... i dont think so

  • @dusted04 thats what i said...

  • @TraceurTaine i was being sarcastic . i dont see this as graphic or up front at all !

i think its a great add

  • No reason for this to be banned?

  • This should not be Banned

  • i remember watching this on tv lol

  • i can feel a tear in my eye...

  • This ad encompasses many prominent social issues, all of which need to be publicly addressed. Profanities on TV and radio are becoming more prominent, such behaviour is becoming second-nature to younger generations. I think Australia is ready for this.

  • Amazing how such a home truth is banned... Kids today have no respect for anyone or anything because adults today don't. I remember teaching one of mine when they were younger it was ok to help a homeless man on the street even though the chances of the guy using the money for drugs was probably better then him using it for food but explained there was always that chance that he woud use it for food.

  • Basically in a nutshell : Take responsiblity for your actions, and let your kids be kids, banned for been too real, typical...

  • Why was tgis banned, was it by a censorship board that is supposed to represent my values as an Australian??

What, is it less confronting to see these behaviours in real life, than on TV as a warning, an alert? There is something that just boils my blood about those who "protect" us from seeing bad things on TV, but have no care if they happen in real life. Too common, I'm afraid.

  • Satdee noit in Mount Druitt

  • powerfull ad

  • people don't want to face the reality.. fuck the world

  • Great ad. I think anything which works to expose and make obvious things that are socially undesirable gets banned eventually. Those in charge don't want people to get too smart. Good thing we have the Internet!

  • so true till the kid bashes his own mum, cant say ive heard of that

  • @cSodeej

That's just because you're not watching for long enough. A child who sees these things betwen their own parents, leanr that's how romantic relationships are supposed to work. 15 years later, the same thing happens.

  • i was offended

  • @joehsimpson How come, it's reality ... being blind in life at reality is never good thing. Seing things like they really are hurts, but at least you know you live for real. Great commercial and message, i've posted it on my Facebook.

  • dude that should not be banned!

    it so true:(

  • That is a really beautiful add and it shouldn't have been banned! it's so true!

  • You need a licence to drive a forklift but anyone can have kids. Sad hey

  • This wasn't banned.

  • ; _ ;

that is so truthful and sad

    and in a dark,deep way,beautiful

  • VERY,,,WEAK WE ARE GET A BACK BONE

  • this wasn't banned, i remember watching it in the early 2000's, kinda sad but most of it's true....

  • geez i havnt seen this in ages i remember it

  • so very true

  • Actually guys you can't show somkeing (or drinking) in a commucial so even if it was a bit "Grafic" it was most likely banned becuse it had that.

  • how in hell was this banned? its brilliant.

  • This was banned because it's the TRUTH, and people hate the truth...

  • why ban it, they should air it every chance they get,

  • Was it banned for being a patronizing piece of shit?

  • @jonship how is it patronizing?

  • a commercial like this is what we need, there are too many shit scumbag parents who dont even realise how they're treating their children

  • Actually, your argument is EXACTLY why we need ads like this...for ADULTS! I wouldn't recommend airing during prime time when kids would see it, but during late night ~ PERFECT! Maybe we as adults would THINK about what we're saying & doing...ESPECIALLY when our children are present!

  • This ad was on tv in australia for ages, late at night usually.

  • It's too bad it's banned. Children see, and mimic adult's behaviour. We need to set a positive example for our children.

  • This was breifly shown in America, & it's 2 true. I'm the oldest of my siblings, so I try very hard 2 b a good example because of it.

  • A tad melodramtic.

  • @EccentricDame Actually, it's bang on the money. Believe me, I've seen it, firsthand, for years.

  • Wow, that brought tears to my eyes. It should be shown.

  • @vgowans just what i was going to write.

  • @vgowans ... TEARS ? no wonder they make ad's like this its to protect soft cocks like you .... grow a spine yours is made of plastic.

  • VERY TRUE

  • WoW my kids do dat all da time

  • This ad wasn't banned.

  • brilliant....

  • Or course it was banned, it was too true.

  • @ArlyeToathe Yup, snivel libitarians can't have the TRUTH shown on TV. It might hurt some sensitive minded individuals psyche. Kids copy, Lead by example. I have seen so many things that my wife and I do rub off, ie helping where we can, being polite, honest, tolerant of others, even though we might disagree at times we still show respect. .

From School Report Card --- " XXX is always tolerant and respectful of others in the classroom and playground- you should be justly proud"

  • Banned for the unfortunate irony that the ad was actually displaying the activity it wished you not to have your children see. Sad as the idea is strong. Could possibly have not been banned if shown after 10pm. Ah well.

  • Comment removed

  • me parece muy bien que lo prohibieran pobre mujer, pobres objetos inertes,POBRE PERRO todos los que crearon ese horrible commercial deben morir

  • i have seen it before on tv. but like most adds you dont notice them when there gone.

  • So why would this be banned, did it come to close to the truth, its scary when that happens, after all it is supposed to teaching us isnt it...or too scary to actually show real life, I think we scare ourselves when we look in the mirror and actually see what we really are...harden up Australia

  • @GreatOzWonder : doyle

  • @GreatOzWonder the message. "Children see, children do. Children watch TV."

  • @GreatOzWonder Thats

  • banned??? Why???!?!? its amazing! its got so much power and meaning!

  • Monkey see, monkey do

  • well i was in aus nd they use to play it all the time so it isnt banned

  • ok.................my friend thinks its worse than this ad and the kid is playing with her dolls and acting ouse of her parents towards each other

  • @KLSmovies that one is really bad too.

  • @TheFlyableGiraffe yh that 1s bad too

  • Wowsers, that's rough stuff. It should play--play often.

  • Why was this commercial banned? it's very powerful and true.

  • This was banned? I saw it run for months.

  • Behaviour typical of a Coalition supporter or of Tony Abbott.

  • this was an excellent ad,unfortunatly banned because it shows women as abusers as well as men,and if you have lived in australia in the last fifteen years you will know that under ground feminists groups who rule the media would never allow that, flies in the face that all men are abusers and women are only poor victims, the domestic violance adverts getting around are ten times worse then this...

  • really powerful this, you don't see ads like these. They're mainly shite for gobshites who need to make quick money.

  • Wait all this is wrong? .......Awww crap.

  • Thats very effective.

  • Hay when babies are crying somtimes ya gotta show the little basterds how real people yell!!!!! thumbs up this comment anyone??

  • why would this be banned ?? it looks like a good PSA

  • holy shit. why the hell is this banned? that gave me god damned goosebumps.

  • Kids face at the end made me lol

  • Wow,what a great ad!

    Simple yet ineffably effective ...

Why the hell was it banned?

  • wow that was a really meaningful ad, i dont know why those aussies would ban that...

  • yo!!! whats the song?

  • lol im from australia!!!

  • ban this? WHY it was for a good cause

  • @CrysisG i am australian and we dont like to see this stuff on tv. (we are happy people) and this represents racisim and abuse. but i agree i think it should not be banned. but i dont get it... when they were both coughing (mum and daughter) was it cas they where sick from pregancy?

  • @timmyisthefly I got the impression they were sick from drinking.

  • This shouldn't be banned. If it was banned, it's probably because too many people are pussies to face truth.

  • damn woman probably deserved the beating. she probably didnt clean the dishes properly

  • @Cahillbrazier not funny bro. too far. woman dont deserve this shit

  • @timmyisthefly ahh chill mate geez

  • @Cahillbrazier

  • @jacobhamselv You are a terrible person.

  • 1:00 Throwing a pebble at a dog? Really?

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU HARRY?! YOU AND YOUR WIZARDRY AND YOUR FOREHEAD SCAR!!!

  • @Wander94 lol!!! HARRY STOP YELLING YOUR FUCKING SPELLS OUT LOUD!!! SHUT UP!!! I DONT WANNA HEAR YOUR STUPIRD SPELLS DAMN IT!

  • this is an awesome commercial. its true

  • Oh lord what a bad commercial

  • look i meant some parts are funny and some are sad ok? like kids fingering people lmao,

but throwing rocks at a dog in a cage :.( is awful...

  • Wtf did they ban this for? Its so true.

  • Thought this was brilliant!! Banned?? Why?? Oh....right.... men running the world and common sense usually don't occur in the same sentence. =S

  • made be break out in tears

  • whats worse is that parents use this as an advantage by teaching us about god, so we believe in it only because our parents forced us to

  • Children learn from what they see..

  • this commercial is so fcking funny but it would work

  • @SubliminalReviews Funny? Are you retarded?

  • @SubliminalReviews Dumbass

  • i feel badx for the dog

  • probably one of the best ads I've ever seen.

  • That´s the way they are!

  • pretty sure this wsn't banned

  • I saw this add before on fta.Its pretty cool. They should run it again.

  • Comment removed

  • this wasnt banned

  • ive seen this

  • fucking idiots if the ban these kinds of adds, these adds are the sort that actually have an effect on people to change thare ways

  • What? I saw this ad all the time. When was it banned here in Oz?
