I finally got that fixed. You have to go the site located in the youtube downloader and re-download it, but don't delet it. It'll re-upgrade and it'll work again. ^^

Any idea why Youtube .flv downloads cannot be downloaded then turned around and re-uploaded back onto Youtube now?

This used to be a snap but now YouTube "fails to convert" them or something.

Try to convert you flv files into mp4 files, and then upload to uTube. That always works for me.

That's funny because I thought Youtube converts to .flv. At least that's what I get when I download directly.

About converting to mp4; I used to be able to convert with any of the 5 free converters I have. Now they all give me an error when trying to convert. But only with Youtube files. WTF did they do when they switched to Google?

Anyway, if you now of any free converters specifically Mac converters I am open to any suggestions since none of mine seem to be able to overcome the great Google.

You need to choose the file first. It only says "missing codecs" if you did not choose the file already downloaded from youtube.

it does download ( downloaded 3 viruses )it does convert to any format. what it did not do or can't do is allow me Burn, Click and Drag nor Copy and Paste file that has been downloaded or converted. If I try to find video that has been downloaded it opens a window saying that location not available.

Unistalling YouTube Downloader caused Windows Media Player to malfunction. Realplayer allows me to Burn, Copy and Paste Click and Drag to an external hardrive. could be problem with Vista though

aha! i got it! when you download it make sure that when it asks you where to save it the file name ends in .flv and that the file type is set to all files, and then it converts fine
