@lespaulman1 ok first of all. I play more than one type of music. Metal just happens to be one of the genres I like. Second of all, who are you to tell me what kind of amp i can or cannot use for any given sound? Plenty of metal guitar players use Marshalls because they're great amps. This amp was made for high gain sounds. You obviously don't know what you're talking about and probably aren't even that great of a player, so I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself in the future.
@Acidrain1993 Thats funny cuz the SL-X was marketed to the metal player basically. It was sold as a "High Gain Monster", A JCM 800 hot rodded with and Xtra pre amp tube. Nice tone btw...
@dashizzler very true. Thanks for watching and for the compliment on my tone! It's always getting better, I just havent had time to post anything new...
@surfacexmusic thanks! I love the sound of this amp miked up. I haven't had a chance to put it in a real mix recently though. The rest of my band doesnt have a way to record in decent quality as of yet. Anyway, thanks for checkin out the video! yours are awesome
@freakstupid11 hey thanks for watching! I don't really remember the settings as I've changed them a few times since then. But usually i have the bass around 3-4, mids around 7, treble 5 or 6, presence 5 or 6 as well. as for the two gains i keep the first one at full and the second one at about 2. Master volume was pretty low. probably 3. The mic used was an sm57. Thanks for the compliment! \m/
@Acidrain1993 sweet, i just traded my strat for this amp and i've been playin around with settings and such, if i can get this sound out of it through my sm57 i'll definitely use it to record stuff
@freakstupid11 Cool. In all honesty, u will probably get a better sound than this if u have a nice mic preamp. I was just running the sm57 through my boss br-600 digital recorder with the crappy digital mic pre/compressor thats built into the unit. I hope u find the sound ur lookin for! \m/
That's a killer freaking tone, man! I dig the riffin' bro!

@lespaulman1 oh and why don't you expand your vocabulary a little? I don't appreciate people posting comments with profanity on my videos.
