Metroid Prime 2 isn't quite as scary as Metroid prime 1, if you play both games in 480p, MP2 is significantly freakier and holds it's own better when being compared to MP1. Metroid Prime 3 just wasn't scary at all, whether you played in 480i OR 480p. I fell asleep playing it and STILL managed to beat it while sawing logs!

what i like about metroid prime 1 was the variety of the environments and the catchy music

with metroid 2, i enjoyed its difficulty and the quadraxis boss battle

i havednt played MP3 but it doesnt seem rememberable in songs or battles =/

Here's my tragic story.

I was playing MP3 for the first time and kicking ass at it.

So I'm searching the Valhalla for the code, but am COMPLETELY stuck.

I find out I need one of the energy cores.

But...I used all of mine on the little ship powerup, and there was only one left for me to find, and it just so happens that it's that goddamned Bryyo one with the 11,000 different parts to acquire it.

I honestly think my favorite metroid was Fusion. I liked the storyline, but i wish it was longer and a bit more challenging. However on the Prime side, i defiantly think Prime 1 was the best, And Corruption the second best. I didn't like Echos very much. I cant wait till Other M comes out cause it will fill in that gap a lot of us found empty from Super Metroid to Fusion.

the only thing different is effects used and changed a little bit here and there

I don't remember this game at all. I beat the original versions of both metroid prime and metroid prime 3, (Not 2). Now Im playing through metroid prime trilogy and am more than halfway through the 2nd game. Can't wait to get this one.

But sadly Retro studios did not help in the making of this one, nintendo is teamed up with some one named .project ninja... i think.. xD

but the graphics are not as good as the petroid prime series

team ninja are the creators of ninja gaiden.. so you can expect sawrms of enemies.. and ways to defeat them like in super metroid

the graphics arent as good because theyre a cel shaded video thrown together... have you seen the original metroid prime layout? it was disgusting!

all i have to say it wait and see.. i have faith that this game will be amazing :)

it sucks that my MP3 doesnt work anymore... its weird. the game crashes as soon as the gameplay starts. during a cutscene or when u start the game nothing happens. but as soon as gameplay starts it sais the disc cannot be read..

Yeah, the ice, plasma and wave beams were awesome.

Ice for magmoor caverns enemies, plasma for phendrana drifts enemies, wave for electrical enemies and power for weak enemies.

Also, the 4 space pirate warriors were awesome.

It was kinda cool in Echoes with the light n dark beams, but afterwards, I just used the annihilator beam.

I use plasma and ice mostly, rarely wave, and I never touched the plasma after getting the ice beam.

You go into X-Ray vision and you will then notice that on the Phazite Plate these switches appear, hit them and the Phazite Plating will open.

If you don't understand what I said then just read the Scanning of the Phazite Plate :)

really, the prime is best, i like they fact that ure totally alone on a planet and digging your way thru, and ya backtracking reaaaly sucks, when im playing my friends always comment: such game like that would kill me mentally, stress me to death. the second game... i never rly bothered when i look at the 2 worlds, never rly know when and where i gotta be in the dark world. GG metroid forever! and ye, bring back the beam swapping system.

Thats too bad, Prime 2 was almost as good as Prime 1. The only annoying part was the beam ammo. Imo, P1 had some of the best ambient music and gameplay, P2 had some gems of ambient music, and then P3 had the best boss music and best graphics, but the gameplay wasnt as good as the others.

Thats my view of the games anywho. And to those who say the Dark World was just to double the length of the game, I remind you, the Dark World is much smaller than the Light World cuz of the blocked doors.

I loved this games, but something about the upgrades had lost it's touch and I can't figure it out. I liked the way they made other planets to go to. But what really pisses me off, is when I have to backtrack, to get certain power-ups

I agree, I had like 89% of the game and I know I could get the 100 but just to think in returning to each planet landing and getting on mi ship again made me sick, so I finished it with the 89% xD
