The car bomb scene is actually a reference to when Han Solo blows up the rebel base on Endor in Return of the Jedi. However, it is an obscure reference and the writer of this short film did once say that he wished he could take that one part out after he saw the finished product.

I'm not LDS-I find it so refreshing to see such creativity used to "spread the Gospel".I know what you mean-you want LDS to be seen in the best light,but videos like this really DO put it there.The LDS Church does NOT enjoy universal acceptance;a lot of people believe it's a cult and missionaries are"robotic zombies"(far from the truth IMHO).
