I agree on the SAW vs PKM thing except I'm big on the reliability thing. I had the SAW jam on me repeatedly the first mission I used it , and the PKM has been like a rock . It's my preferred secondary weapon. My loadout for the last run of FC2 has been MAC-10/Druganov/PKM. Holding 730 rounds of ammo ( 50 - sniper rifle , 180 -MAC-10 and 500 - PKM ) Trying one without buying weapons so far ...

My favorite close-combat weapon is Mac-10(act I) and Uzi (act II) and I also prefer PKM over the SAW :)

I think im speaking for most people. Its just way too messy. I mean, 4 shots, reload like 7 secs, and youll probably cook off an ammo pile or something. Otherwise it rocks :D

If close combat wep is the secondary slot, it's probably the Eagle .50. Not that stealthy, low RoF but can kill in one shot. If you mean of all, including MGs, its the Kalashnikov :)

I love the Mac 10 for close combat. Love the high fire rate, has saved me a lot of times. I use it with my AR 16 and the RPG, which i probably will exchange for the Carl Gustav rocket launcher when i get the diamonds to afford it. Question to all: Is the Carl G a good rocket launcher in this game?

the Carl G is good on mooving targets and on bigger distance. But you should not fire it when standing in grass or any other stuff that can burn, because the Carl G spits out a great flame of the back and sets everything on fithe, that can burn.

I like the RPG more.

BTW, the reason y u love the MAC-10 is the reason i hate it. Youre reloading every 5 sec. it wouldn't be so bad if the dmg wouldn't be so low. im more the MG-guy.

if you mean close combat like to ambush something (guard post) then its PKM and if you mean it like for defense when someone attack you then its Uzi :D

I would have to disagree with you there, I would choose the SAW over the PKM anyday. Mainly cause the fire rate on the SAW is a lot faster, and the recoil is a lot less. The smoke and metal issue doesn't really affect me and I never find reliability to be an issue either. The reduced recoil of the SAW clearly compensates for any reduction in accuracy caued by smoke or metal in the way.

Well each to his own. All I know is visibility is a big issue for me with the SAW to the point where the SAW gets me dead whereas the PKM keeps me alive. Also, don't exaggerate... the SAW is not A LOT faster. The fire rate is 3 whereas the PKM is 2.5. That's what...? 20% better? That's not exorbitant.

True, I guess it isnt that much faster, not quite up to the speed of the mac-10. Generally though I tend to carry the dart rifle in my special weapon slot, take an uzi in the secondary and an MGL 140 as primary. I dont think ive ever seen one of your vids where you use the MGL, is there any specific reason for that cause I think its one of the best weapons in the game?

The vid was clearly processing (happnens just after a video has been uploaded to make it play on youtube) when you watched it, check back now that its done and you'll see the quality is back up to its best.

That's not possible. I record these videos in batches or 'runs' as I call them. I do a recording that lasts from 60 to 90 minutes and then afterwards I break it up into 10 min segments. I'd have to remember during the recording to make an advisory every 10 min or so which would be insane.
