@klasiquev thank you. I couldn't have said it any better. Also I would rjust like to say, a lot churches these days like to bash Mormons in their sermons instead of teaching what they believe in to their people. I would invite anyone to come to our meetings on Sundays. We pray, study the scriptures, and learn of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and their plan for us. Not once we bash other religions. We respect everyones beliefs.
@October31st1517 He was confused with all the of religions. So many different churches were around him that he was overwhelmed for which one to attend. The feeling he got was testified to Him by the Spirit of our Heavenly Father and was told to him by Jesus himself. He did respect other religions because he decided just to leave them alone and start the LDS church. If you don't believe that, it's okay. I believe what I believe in and you believe in what you believe in.
the other church referred to in 1 Nephi, is the world...it is whoever denies God...who delibrately lead people away from Christ... NOT the other churches...anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God is a christian...a follower of Christ...I'm sorry you found it so hard being lds but I have to say that I found my Savior through lds...I was raised in another church and learnt about Jesus Christ...but it wasn't until I joined the lds church that I really got to know him & feel his love
But what if for me is the same Jesuschrist and in my heart is the same? What you are opossed in fact is what the prophets said or not.
I am an LDS and I have good friends there and the environment is good and it makes me a better person. Are those nothing valuable for God when he judge us?
"They constitute the church of the devil, the kingdom of evil, a federation of unrighteousness; and the servants of God have a right to contend against that which is evil, let it appear where it will, in Catholic or in Protestant Christendom, among the philosophical societies of deists and atheists, and even within the Church of Christ, if, unhappily, it should make its appearance there." Elder Roberts
@October31st1517 But, let it be understood, we are not brought necessarily into antagonism with the various sects of Christianity as such. So far as they have retained fragments of Christian truth -- and each of them has some measure of truth – that far they are acceptable unto the Lord; and it would be poor policy for us to contend against them without discrimination.
@October31st1517 Wherever we find truth, whether it exists in complete form or only in fragments, we recognize that truth as part of that sacred whole of which the Church of Jesus Christ is the custodian; and I repeat that our relationship to the religious world is not one that calls for the denunciation of sectarian churches as composing the church of the devil. All that makes for untruth, for unrighteousness constitutes the kingdom of evil – the church of the devil.
Respond to this video... All that makes for truth, for righteousness, is of God; it constitutes the kingdom of righteousness – the empire of Jehovah; and, in a certain sense at least, constitutes the Church of Christ. With the latter – the kingdom of righteousness – we have no warfare
Respond to this video... On the contrary both the spirit of the Lord’s commandments to his servants and the dictates of right reason would suggest that we seek to enlarge this kingdom of righteousness both by recognizing such truths as it possesses and seeking the friendship and co-operation of the righteous men and women who constitute its membership. Elder Roberts
In the official April 1977 General Conference, printed in the LDS Church magazine, the "Ensign", Seventy Bernard B. Brockbank, stated:
"It is TRUE that many of the Christian churches worship a DIFFERENT Jesus Christ than is worshipped by the Mormons or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ... We CANNOT obtain salvation and eternal life by worshipping FAKE Christs or by living the doctrines and commandments of men."
- Ensign, May 1977, p. 26-27. Also see PofGP: JS-H 1:19
Joseph was a false prophet who belong to the cult, called the freemasons, and the beings that appeared to him were the devil and demons pretending to be beings of light. "Those men are not true apostles, who lie about their work and disguise themselves to look like real apostles of Christ. Well, no wonder! Even Satan can disguise himself to look like an angel of light. So it is no great thing if his servants disguise themselves to look like servants of rigtheousness." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
@jonnygotz2343 J Smith CLAIMS that God said that. This is in contradiction when Jesus said "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". However your saying for 1900 years the gates of hell did prevail against the church.
@October31st1517 In short, the Church Christ came to build, and the reason why Christ bestowed upon Peter the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven is based upon divine Revelation, and that divine revelation is to whom Jesus Christ is. It is the foundation to which Christ’s church is to be built upon – not His Church being built. This is the exact meaning of the context. And, it is the exact meaning that those of the counter-cult ministries fail to realize.
If they truly do realize this, then the Great Apostasy that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints testify occurred, then one will realize that the Church did fall away, and the authority to operate under divine authority and revelation was removed from the Earth – subsequently preventing the gates of Hell from prevailing against it.
@October31st1517 The question is, upon what will Christ build his Church? The text does not refer to Peter because Peter is known as Simon Bar-Jona, but Christ referred to him as Petra/Rock. When we look at it, Christ was not referring to Peter himself, but Peter’s confession – Thou art the Christ, Son of the Living God. It is Peter’s confession as to who Christ is, a confession that came about by Divine Revelation. Meaning, Christ will not build his church on a Human figure
but on a principle doctrine – Revelation as to who Jesus Christ is – Son of the Living God. This is what the gates of hell shall not prevail against.Again, the context is based on two questions and one principle truth: Who do men say that I am? Who do you say that I am? Flesh and Blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in Heaven and upon this Rock I will build my Church and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail.
Great video. P.S. I think you should have your dog checked out by a vet...He seems to have lost an alarming amount of weight over the course of the video : ) But seriously, nice touch with the dogs...Christians can use live props too!
Great video, thanks for posting. Like Shawn I used to be Mormon too. God saved me from that darkness and brought me into the light. I can't thank him enough for saving me.
I remember it was that interview of Shawn McCraney done by John Dehlin that made me give up resisting God's Grace and accepting it. It is so hard to listen to the GA of the LDS Church because your eyes and ears are open and realize they don't understand Grace or God's Mercy or man's sinful nature. It is what they don't say that is harder.... "We need the cross because we all deserved to have been nailed to it, but He who did not deserve it took our place."
@October31st1517 You give praise properly where it is due. The Lord gave me His Grace and Mercy which I never deserved. I will never be able to sufficiently thank Him enough for having Mercy on me, a man, who did not listen or obey for far too long.
good video...I was recently teaching on Mormonism in my church sunday school....they go on the offensive why shouldn't we who have the truth take it to them?
It is so sad to see these pople bound by satan, and so blind. We had a couple of these men come to our door a while back, I tried to talk to them but I dont thing I got anywhere. I pray God grants them repentance in the name of Jesus. God Bless you brother.
Say WHAT!!!???? LOL Also, I would like to know if you make your videos "at one time" due to the fact that I see you changing clothes. Man your sneaky.
Good video,I got teary eyed at the end too. Our good works don't save us, it's His works on the cross that does. And isn't the whole mormon belief based on Pride? They all want to become Gods and rule.
I see these folks on the street on their bikes looking so wholesome, it breaks my heart knowing that they are on their way to an eternal Hell forever. They may be very nice upstanding members of the community, but just like all 'good' people without Christ - or with the wrong Christ - are all headed for eternal damnation. The clips on the Marriage stats were very interesting, also the Mormon cartoon. What sources? Thanks again my Brother!
Great video Mark! It never ceases to amaze me how often Mormons feel that it is they who are being attacked when it was THEY who attacked us first (as you demonstrated in this video).
Fantastic job Mark! I like they way you clearly show who threw the first punch spiritually. Let us fight back but NOT in anger but with love using the sword of the Spirit for God's Truth is on our side. Let us also pray for a huge and plentiful harvest in the whitened fields of the LDS. God bless you.
The end of this video just breaks your heart. I will pray more earnestly for the salvation of many of the people trapped in that evil and wicked system. Thank you brother Mark.
You're right, Mark. Seeing the end of this video always reminds me of God's sovereignty and mystery. How much He wants us to 'influence' Him with prayer, even though He already knows the beginning and the end. What a great God we serve. All praise be the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Puny, finite man cannot influence the Omnipotent, Unchangeable God of the Bible to act . "Who can turn Him? And what His soul desireth, even that He doeth" (Job 23:13, Malachi 3:6, Romans 9:19). It's God that determines us, not we Him (Ephesians 1:11).
