i think by saying 'sinners sing for joy, we are saved by grace' he means those of us who are still sinners but have asked God into our hurts, we have been redeemed and we can then sing for joy because God's mercy

I love this song. However one line of it caught me off guard; "Let the sinners sin for joy. We are saved by grace." That doesn't seem biblical to me as it seems they are saying we have a free license to sin and that it is good to do so. I may be wrong so tell me if i am.
