Being a gay man - I take big offense to this list - Beyonce - please - never - Brittanny Spears - hardly - the biggest gay icons that there are were not on tis list - Bette Midler is by far #1 - no one comes close to her except for possibly Cher - who ever did this - should perhaps ask a gay person instead of what a straight person thinks

You do realize you could be institutionalized for omitting Janet Jackson from this list? She wrote and sang songs about gay self acceptance in the mid 90's, long before it was popular to do so. Now that its in fashion to be pro equal rights, I think its important to remember and recognize pioneers.

You need to bump Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue from that list. None of them are nearly iconic enough to be one of the "Top 10" Gay Icons. Lady Gaga should also be bumped. She hasn't been around long enough to know if she will withstand the test of time. There are many other divas more worthy than these. Whitney and Mariah, for example.
