I wrote to Pres Bush many times and I'll write to Obama and ask that the US get into a nuclear war with North Korea or China so that they can both annihilated each other. That is the ONLY way to make all the subhumans in these countries improve themselves.
Oh please. They let Dennis Kucinich run for them, time and time again. I'm sure post-2000 that's true, but for sure they would have let him run before.
My vote was cast today via absentee ballot. I voted Nader. It seems to me most of the ideologues who are voting for Obama would be better served voting Nader.....I guess they're just not paying attention.
I really like you Ralph Nader. You are an ultra rare breed of person. You have character, integrity and honor and courage. Thank you very much for giving people a real choice. I've been listening to you since you first ran for President and will continue to do so. You have my vote tomorrow.
And thats the deception. You are not voting for the "lesser of two evils". you are voting for the evil of two lessers. Evrytime you vote for a Republicrat, you vote aginst PEOPLE CHAMPIONS like nader. WHy is this country so dumb? People in Venezuela voted for Chavez, who is hugey popular, and threw the elites out of their government. Yet we keep voting for Corporate loyalist and war mongers. Dems and Repubs are the SAME. Look no further than the $700 billion bailout and Iraq war.
There's a link to a blog in my profile. I'm trying to organize voters who want to vote for third parties but feel their vote is better used strategically, like yours. There are enough potential third party voters to win elections if they would organize, count themselves, and realize how strong their numbers really are. The idea is to pledge votes, starting on a local level, when enough people join to win elections, and contribute to the third party cause nationally. Please check it out.
I've loved you and your ideals since I was an 8-year-old kid, Mr. Nader. I already voted for you early on Friday 10/31/08 in Florida. Hope they don't "miscount" it.
This is what I don't understand about Nader and his organization. He is never going to win the presidential election and by running every year he only manages to throw money out the window. He would be better off focusing his party's efforts to gaining seats in the state and national legislature. He doesn't need to hold the top position to bring about the change in the nation
whatever money he ends up using to run his campaign. I imagine most of it is either his or from donations. He's probably not spending a whole lot but its still a waste of money and time. I think its a false assumption that the national government needs to be the seat of change.
He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself.
Dear Ralph- In 2000 I supported you. I went to meetings. I took days off from work and lost pay. I went door to door with tons of campaign lit. & spoke on your behalf. I was a poll watcher and almost closed the poll site due to corrupt republicans.
You're a great guy. Unfortunately, you've been VERY wrong.
If Gore was elected, there's NO WAY in hell, we'd be in the current mess. There is a HUGE difference between Obama & McSame.
Believe me. Obama is going to be a great president.
In the third-party candidates is where our real freedoms lie... The two candidates we are up against are so disgraceful. Obama will likely win, and we will all likely pay...
Bob Barr was a self-contradicting Republican for years. He only left his party and joined the Libetarian Party when he was no longer able to hold elected office as a Republican. I'll consider him in 2012 if he proves over the next four years that he is really committed to pushing the agenda of his new party.
Where are all the Bruce Wayne-type philanthropists that chould've and should've donated millions to the Ralph/Nader campaign (and/or other 3rd parties) so that they could've produced their own prime time infomercial too?
The problem is that all Bruce Wayne types never had to work or think hard in their life, so they don't give a damn about what happens to their money. They will wipe their asses with it.
It will be a tragic day for America on Tuesday if Ralph Nader is not elected President. 1000x worse than 911.
I was happy to Vote NADER! I had a dream a long time ago that Mr Nader was President and I've always wished that to come true! Best of Luck!!! WE LOVE YOU!
I agree with all the following, but still believe Ralph can put his skills to use more effectively outside the horse race. We've got a dwindling supply of Nader years in the reserves, and I hate using em in elections. I'm a part of the campaign this year, and although it is organized, it has nowhere near the momentum it had in 2000. Even former big-name supporters have jumped on the Obama wagon (flip-flopping Michael Moore comes to mind). We've got to get more creative and find new solutions.
Nothing gets out his message like the election though. The hate for him by the Obots is strong this year, but many of them will come around by this time in 2012 when they realize their vote for Obama put as much blood on their hands as a vote for McCain would have.
This is probably Nader's last election though. Looking forward to Gonzalez carrying on the fight in 2012.
I see no demicanrepublicrat who is worth my vote.
As Cindy Sheehan said about Dennis Kucinich "the only problem with Dennis is that he's a democrat." He's the best they have and his own party discredits him. We need areal fighter like Ralph. He even fights for the fools that slander him!
Ralph Rocks and we're lucky to have him. Live long and healthy Ralph. We NEED you!
The election is so rigged, I sometimes can't figure why Ralph even considers running. He's far too effective outside of the "system" to make sense within it. I understand it's a symbolic thing, but still, I hold high hopes for Ralph's plans post election day building congressional groups, and other ways to spur new civic involvement from WE the people. A president cannot save this country, only we can, and Nader is going to be the extremely knowledgible leader we need. Onward for justice!
Part of the reason why he's running is because his institutions (OSHA, EPA, Public Citizen, etc) are increasingly becoming either (a) overrun with corporate lobbyists or (b) ineffective because of the presence of such lobbyists. He's been running because the kind of advocacy he did in the 50s, 60,s and 70s is simply no longer possible.
I would add that his movement this election cycle has been the most organized. I think the message of the Nader/Gonzalez and the movement is to put the likely nominee Obama on notice that "We the People" have raised our voice to a new level and "WE WILL BE HEARD"
Prkjs08 is correct. Nader is running because the kind of work he did in the 70s is ineffective now. Corporate dominance of government is so strong that corporations effectively regulate themselves using the government as a shill.
Thank you Nader, Gonzalez, campaigners, future Nader-team runners for office / leaders, and all people with same/similar values. You will always have my vote. It's a "no brainer", too bad non-Nader voters don't even have that.
the election of barack obama to president will be a great moment in the history of this country. but i will vote for ralph nader because his service, wisdom, problem solving, and love of country are unmatched.
My wife and I are voting for Ralph, even though we don't agree with all of his policies. He's the best community organizer in the USA, if not the world, and a true American hero who's saved more lives because of his product safety laws than almost any military person. Plus, he knows all the players in Washington and beyond, he knows what has to be done, and he knows how to do it. He's a true American treasure.
Here is a man who has fought for his country - the RIGHT way - all his life and explained to us how to take care of it. And how do many Americans thank him for it? By blaming him for their troubles. When all they had to do was be responsible citizens by paying attention to what's going on, researching the issues and candidates and voting sensibly. So they blame him for something that actually happened because of their laziness and selfishness. Whatever happens after Nov. will be our own fault.
This is the man who SHOULD be president but the system has been set up against him because hes right and the corupt system fears a rightous man.
I'm from the UK and i volunteered even though it was for just a few days and worked in the very room were Ralph is speaking from and though i never got to meet him or see him it was an honer just to work for his campaign, for world peace and prosperity for were america leads the world often follows.
