Halo 3 is my favorite out of the series...but if you haven't already, you really need to get Halo 1 and 2 (preferrably the remake of Halo 1 called "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary" which just came out this past November). Trust me, if you've played the first two it will make you like Halo 3 even more and you'll understand it better.

@novaeligible lol i know... Halo 2 took the most chances, but I think it made Halo 3 better because of it. Many critics and players despised the Halo 2 ending, but Halo 3 does the unthinkable and makes the ending to Halo 2 actually make SENSE.

It's good to see someone who is new to the series yet still enjoys it like an ol' die hard fan would. Cheers to Halo!

Xbox servers were taken down when the 360 servers came out (though not immediately), so when the 720 comes out then halo 3 will be dead. And I don't really like Reach as much as halo 3. As do others. So I stick with 3 mostly

But...they didn't.... Halo is owned by Microsoft, not Bungie. Bungie made the Halo license, and originally it was going to be a Mac exclusive, but then Microsoft bought them out and then they owned the license. Bungie wont take Halo 3 down. The only chance they will is when a new console comes out. But what happened with Halo 2 servers down I even doubt that. i think reach was sure better in terms of graphics... but graphics doesnt matter to us halo fans, we stuck by halo right from the start! this game meant more to me because when i heard finish the fight, i thought, the last bit of story man... now that 4 is coming, i find a little light at the end of the halo 3 hallway. but this will always be MY favorite.
