im all for the mid and somewhat late 90's . I was born May 1990. So i didnt see these commercials. But the 90s commercials had alot of thought put into it. I love those mcdonalds commercials.
I was the same age as the kid acted on home alone by mcully kullcan(or however u spell it) great times. Remember all commercials and especially home alone. Went and saw it in theaters with my grandma and uncle. Epic times.
Early 2000s (2000-2006) were not that bad. But the 80s-90s rock. They were a time to be alive and enjoy meaningful hip-hop and R&B song, interesting sitcoms, cartoons that were entertaining and infromative, and fancy non-sexual clothes.
you're makin' me nostalgia all over myself man! i can just picture myself runnin' down those stairs crying to mom to get me whatever toy or game i wanted! i mostly prefered the electronic battery-operated toys, because i loved noise! these today would make a great collectors item. gotta go on ebay! i'm with most of you guys. i can't even find something good to watch today. thank goodness for youtube! it's like my daily dosage of 90's awesomeness!
@DragonZord90 omg I feel the same way... i bet deep down everyone feels the same now and again... just to relive those happy times...with the economy it just seems so hard but oh well can't live in the past forever. ^__^(even though it would be nice too)
@DragonZord90 dude your name is Dragon Zord? Wasn't that one of the Power Rangers giant robot attack animals!??!?! lololol Damn I liked Power Rangers! My girlfriend over here remembers kids actually trying to BE Power Rangers, jumping around and doing karate and shit!
@mrsuns10 Some of today's commercials are retarded, but not the kid commercials. Commercials for children haven't changed much, just the tv shows have.
gidget was my fave :D toys were freaking awesome back then, cereals had toys in them not send off to get and happy meal toys are kick ass :D I miss my childhood now :(
i love the ducktales and talespin, would watch it every afternoon while eatin a hot pocket, drinkin a yoohoo, why don't they show cartoons in the afternoon anymore??they need to come out with these on DVD...so my lil boy can grow up on GOOD tv!!
I loved that Disney Afternoon opening! I remember I'd babysit my nieces & nephew and when that came on I'd get them to do a little conga dance to get them all excited! LOL! I was the crazy-fun Aunt back then! Still am today. That Hot Keys Keyboard I got for one of my nephews for Christmas that year, him and the cousins played that thing to death! I loved Disney's Gummi Bears, Ducktales etc! I believe the downfall of cartoons and commercials came in the late 90's. I love these uploads!!
These were the golden years of television. The commercials alone are a lot better than most of the crud that passes for television now. Also, I wonder why they took out two of the chefs from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials? Maybe too many chefs really are a bad thing? xD
Baby Shivers? Were there any traits of babies that toymakers in the late 80s/early 90s didn't think would be good to creepily copy into expensive, battery-operated dolls? I don't think there was a Baby Spit-Up, but it wouldn't shock me if there was.
I liked Home Alone just fine, but watching that ad, you'd never guess it would end up as the highest-grossing comedy of all-time up to that point.
What time did school get out in Sacramento? 3:00 seems awfully early to start the kids block.
That Disney Afternoon opening clearly shows Darkwing Duck as one of the characters being painted, and yet this was recorded almost a full year before imdb claims Darkwing Duck premiered. Can anyone explain this? Did Disney sit on the show a long time before starting its first season?
i miss the animated kid commercials. Now today, kids commercial are all CGI and 3D, just doesn't have the same spark traditional animation gives us. :/ now you only see traditional animation in commercials once in a while and very rare. T-T
I've always wondered how the animation in cereal commercials is always so fluid. I guess it's because a big budget is put into such a short video, but that would mean they had to draw ALOT of frames
Seriously, what happened to TV? I don't think a single one of these commercials are bad at all. In fact, they're all awesome... I just don't get it. Why has television become so.... sour? I guess everybody has just run out of ideas.
Have you ever noticed that Ronald McDonald is the only character in the McDonald's commercials now? It's like the others don't exist anymore. Grimace will come up every now and then but that's really it. I haven't seen much of the Hamburglar in a while
@MFruitProductionsLTD Family values have gone out of TV. The family sitcom has become mostly extinct, for more harding hitting entertainment shows like CSI or 24. Commercials are also about what's hip and what's catchy. With the emergence of computer generated animation, 2-d animation has become more simple and artists go with a more 2-d style since 3-d is now reserved for computer animation like Pixar and Dreamworks films. That is why you don't see great animation like the Disney Afternoon.
The Disney Afternoon looks awesome!! What the heck happened to the Disney Channel?? It's awful now! Thank you so much for uploading these commercials. I was born in 1992, so I remember NONE of these, but I love them anyway =)
Kid, you missed out on the fun times. I was getting ready to turn 6 at the time these commercials aired on tv. I watch them every time I get on here to take me back to the days of me being in school and waiting for friday so I could go to the grocery store to play street fighter in the arcades, but they took them out of grocery stores and 7-11's because too many kids weren't buying anything and the games were pretty much for customers kids.
The Nostalgia Critic just uncovered the truth: Wendell tossed the corpses of the other two bakers (and the Cookie Cop and the Cookie Crook!) to the bottom of the sea. That bastard must be stopped!
So that's why I haven't seen them in a long time. They should make it into a documentary about it. I knew that guy was hiding something from everyone!
The commercial at 3:31 is a true testament to how far weve come..Instead of the music toy now there is Guitar hero ..lol No more rinki dink melodies you can actually play those songs that were made popular when we were growing up!!
@waltermg1 ever stop to think that kids today when they are our age will make videos of commercials and toys of this era? or would they be like "who the f*wants to remember this crap."
@drummerformel O.O its just the same..just now... the guitar with the silly melodies don't make a sound...and you just press the buttons that match the color on tv
Anyone ever notice how in cereal commercial they display a "complete breakfast" to include a glass of orange juice, slices of toast, and sometimes other stuff. Yet the vast majority of us "complete breakfast" means just the cereal with the milk...
oh those days...rub a dub dolly, new born baby shivers, and mac tonite!!! the disney afternoon cartoons! and don't forget the CTC bakers...is it me or was wendall first calm in the earlier CTC commercials and he started to go loony all of a sudden??***
I wish they had never added ANY loops. I used to eat it all the time when it was just Cherry, Lemon and Orange. Damn Toucan Sam and his loops of treachery!
in 1993 to be exact. I remember because until 1997, my dad would force us to eat nothing but "Fruit Loops" where I got to the point where I just plain hate em.
Wow I got Baby Shivers for Christmas 22 years ago...

Oh no, the blue loop was definitely added by 96, and that came after wards

I wish they had never added ANY loops. I used to eat it all the time when it was just Cherry, Lemon and Orange. Damn Toucan Sam and his loops of treachery!

in 1993 to be exact. I remember because until 1997, my dad would force us to eat nothing but "Fruit Loops" where I got to the point where I just plain hate em.

I'm kicking my slef in the ass. This was my VHS tape and I sold it at a yard sale :(

This is not your VHS tape. In fact this isn't even from a VHS tape, it's from a Beta tape.

Always thought there was something weird with the other two CTC bakers disappearing and Wendell taking all the spotlight for himself.

I know right! I've always tried to get people to remember the other two brothers who made CTC! It was funny how they just dropped them
