@cengkarim Oh, and Israel DID achieve it's main objective.It survived.Despite being surrounded by Millions of arabs who's goverments publicly declared they would drive the Jews into the sea.They may have gotten their nose bloodied at the beggining of 1973, but the state of Israel not only survived that, but all the attacks before and since.They not only survived but they forced their enemies to recognised their existence if not their RIGHT to exist.For 60 years Israel has thrived.That is victory

@anthimos112 Well, your reply proved that Egypt won the war. How come isreal won when "surviving"?!, israel struggles to survive and still tries to survive. BTW, Egypt didn't recognize israel, it is sadat who did. About those "60" years, if we assumed that you are right (Which apparently not) and israel won, it is a temporary victory. Our (Egyptians) history extends for 7,000 years, 60 years is an eye blink for us, nothing compared to our history. FYI, we recognize Jews but not zionists.

@cengkarim Listen you're obviously too caught up in your nationalistic pride to be objective.I've laid out the numbers for you, the fact that Israel still exists despites being surrounded by enemies,the fact that egypt is and has been at peace with Israel for years.As for whether egypt recognises Israel or not, .On 26th of March 1979 the legal and recognised head of goverment for egypt signed a internationally legal teaty with Israel.Which every egyptian leader since has honored.

Such a tiny era will pass, and zionists will pass with it, we faced much more dangerous threats and we overcome them, you can revise history (you'll need too much time and resources, remember, 7,000 years). just a question, "every Egyptian leader since has honored", :D can you state "those" Egyptian leaders :D, I dare you can, it was only the sadat and the dictator israeli agent mobarak.

Sooner or later America will lose interest in the Middle East's oil and will abandon israel. Then, the stolen land will be returned back to us (Arabs).

@cengkarim How are you revising history?Well please explain to me the criteria for this victory you claim.Egypt had more men killed,captured, and injured than Israel.Egypt lost more aircraft than Israel.Egypt lost more ships than Israel.By the end of the war israel occupied more enemy territory than egypt, was about 100 km from Cairo and had surrounded and cut off the bulk of the egyptian army.As for Sinai that was a negotiated withdrawel that had less to do with the war and more with sadats....

@anthimos112 willingness to sit down with israel and negotiate.The war ended in 73 the camp david accords started the withdrawl of Israeli troops in 79, which ened in 82.That hardly seems like they were pushed out by egypt.I am really trying to be respectful here but you're pride in your country is blinding you to reality.Please research and tell me if any claims I have made are wrong but if you do back it up with something more than wishfull thinking.Everything I have claimed can be verified...

@anthimos112 In war, a nation can win and lose battles. Those numbers are just the result of one battle. At the end, Egypt won by gaining back the land stolen by israel. Another thing, those numbers means nothing to us (As I keep saying) we are more than 80,000,000, such numbers are just a very tiny ratio, we didn't feel the loss of such battle but we felt the final result of the war by returning back our Sinai.

@anthimos112 I'm sure you don't know anything about Egypt cuz you keep mentioning the 30 years of peace and prosperous we lived! Those 30 years was just peace for israel but not for Egypt. Egypt was rulled by a dictator who forced Egyptians to accept this treaty so that he can gain America's support and stay in power. It was the worst 30 years in Egypt's history. We care about result, by force or negotiations, the war achieved its goal, Sinai.

Corruption reached the core of the country. It was 30 years of israeli bribes to mobarak to destroy Egypt's infrastructure and backbone. If you think those 30 years of "No War" state is a prosperous and peaceful, then you are wrong.

@cengkarim by public record.Try reading an account not written in egypt.I remind you that General Saad El Shazly's book were he pointed out the Egyptian armys shortcomings in the war was banned in Egypt.I must stop with this debate.Your talk of "Zionists" and "stolen land being returned to us" and the abandonment of israel make me uncomfortable and depressed.I sincerely hope most egyptians are too busy looking to a better future rather than rewriting their past.

@anthimos112 If you read General Saad El Shazly's book, then for sure you know that war has a political goals, if those goals weren't achieved, then this war is lost, even if won militarily which is the case in Egypt-israel conflict.
