It's good to see footage of this amazing horse, I was down in Hialeah where the old track was. It's a run down old place and as I was looking around at the deteriorated Wall of Florida Derby Champions, I saw on the floor a small wooden plaque that said Carry Back "1961", took it home,and from that day on, I loved this horse. Great footage and thank you :)
He beat Kelso twice in receipt of 10 lbs in the Metropolitan and 6 lbs in the Monmouth. Kelso didn,t seem to run very good for Shoemaker.

Carry Back was stretch running son of a gun!! Good enough to beat Kelso more than once,nuff said!!!!!
