Yes, lock 7. It has been operational for 5 or 6 years now but was down for many years before that.

I'm guessing this is at lock 7?? I noticed last time I was there. That there was a power station. I didn't think it was operational though.

If Synced with the mains means the main field ignited, yes. You can monitor these generators online for the specs. The same 1920s GE generators are used up stream at Dix Dam and produces much more power with the much higher head of Herrington Lake.

I agree, there's nothing more wonderful than that hum and harmonics of a large generator!
