  • what flat iron are you using in this video?

  • wooow you have beautiful hair.... im jealous :( lol

  • try braiding your hair in two big braids when it is damp and let it air dry overnight then just flat iron it with a flat iron that has a comb attachment it cuts down on heat and time i use baybliss BAB2590 or if you must blow dry try using the Infiniti by Conair Styler Dryer it comes with comb and brush attachment I know it makes my life easier when I choose to wear my hair straight and I also have big hair that is hard to straighten

  • and could you tell me how you get strong thick healthy hair

  • what kind of flat iron is that and do you use any hair grease when you flat iron your hair

  • do you have a video that shows evrything that you did to grow your hair that long lol and i mean everything if not could you please make one

  • how long has it been since you flat ironed your hair?

  • your hair is simply gorgeous! have you always had long hair? how long did it take you to grow your hair this length?

  • FANTASTIC....Flat Irons are a faster way to get each section of hair smooth. Although the right temperature Is the main key. like 200-350. Maybe 400 degrees. It depends on the end result and the texture of hair. If a person already has curly hair using a flat iron with 350 degrees would scorch the hair. Burn It to a crisp. Practice Is Important.

  • You remind of actress Denise Nicholas

  • i have thick hair just like yours and i straighten it every week and it takes the whole day.. its hard but worth it. Natrual hair (non chemically processed) is the best. Do you trim regularly? or just leave it? i notice when i flat iron the ends of my hair is still frizzy and i just leave it. Im not sure if its cause im not trimming my hair often or what but i hate how even when my hair is straightend it is super thick and kinda frizzy. Also alot of steem comes out of the flat iron =/

  • @SuperBlackbeauty19 If you see steam coming out as you flatiron, that is the moisture being evaporated out of your hair. Perhaps the setting on the flatiron is to high. Please remember to always allow your hair to completely dry and use a heat protector befor flatironing. When flatironing, be careful not to hold the flatiron on the ends of your hair.Yes, I trim twice a year and it's time for another trim soon :)

  • @Apriluv7779 okay i definitely will try your technique and try straightening my hair when its completely dry. thnx

  • my goal length! :)

  • Hmmmm...wondering how you got your hair cut so evenly??? You cut your hair in twist/braids...and it still comes out *this* even??? Please confirm. :-)

  • @Kookie28Krisp Yes :)

  • you are so beautiful

  • God blessed you big time!

    Your hair is perfect!

4 months ago,I cut off the relaxed part of my hair and so now,I have 100% virgin hair.

I am liking the way my hair is growing...its quite thick.I am NOT using any perm on it until further notice!

  • What are you mixed with?

  • @mrsayala07 The title of the video is Natural African American haircare..." Do the math

  • @mrsayala07, Regardless of whether there is another race, she most definitely black. People need to realize that it's not the other race that's making the person look good. When people ask me what I'm mixed with I always answer "BLACK" because that is the reason why I look the way I do. If I was mixed Irish and German no one would care. Or half chinese and half indian, no one would care. But when you are mixed with black everyone wants to know what you're mixed with. And the answer is black!

  • @WhereYaBoss At least not full or something like that her grandparents were most likely another race.

  • @mrsayala07 She's not full what? What other race are you hoping she will say she is? The one that will help you come to the conclusion as to why her hair is long? There is at least four other African-American women in the side bar videos with long hair. What does mix have to do with it? The title says "Natural African-American haircare...." Ohm, once again: Please, Do the math...

  • @WhereYaBoss I'm not hoping she is nothing, thank you very much. I'm just stating my opinion. End of story I'm not arguing over youtube. ugh.......=/

Ay dios mio ayuda la gente!!!!!

  • @mrsayala07 I'm African American; both of my parents are African American.

  • @mrsayala07 You're the one who needs help. Yo se Espanol, mija! What should people do? Walk around with product labels on our arms for all you people who need to know what else we are mixed with? Huh? That gets a big UGH from me =/

  • whats the name of your flat iron?

  • @Coatboo334 Quite honestly, I don't know the name. It was a very cheap brand I found at Sally's. I did find my Solia which I prefer.

  • heyyyyyy!! i remember u!! u are so right! ur hair HAVE grow like a wild plant! its so beautiful! Whats the trick?

  • your hair is very beautiful!!!

    ~LHDC

  • You are so adorable. I can't believe you are 50! I hope I look as great as you do in 20 years. Do you die your hair?

  • Lovely. In 2 years, my hair should be about this length. It's about 12-13 inches now. Thanks for your tips and for taking the time to share with us.

  • how did ur hair grow, im 11 and im black and lightskinned, and my hair is 2 my shoulders and i want it longer, Can u help. i love ur length

  • NicoleBritt67MT Please see my most current video which is a response to your question to me :)

  • @NicoleBritt67TM lol what does being lightskinned have to do with it?

  • @modelchick223 exactly. please, this lil girl must not have seen kimmaytube, rusticbeauty, lonhairdontcare2011

  • @NicoleBritt67TM are you natrual or relaxed? if your natrual you should have no problem growing your hair. If you are relaxed your hair is already damaged from chemicals making it prone to breakage so you have to lessen the heat you use. You would have a much harder time growing relaxed hair than natrual hair.. its a fact that many people seem to not realize. And if you are mixed heritage than your hair will probably grow faster than the average black.. another FACT.

  • @SuperBlackbeauty19 It has been my understanding from research that hair grows approximately .5' a month; an average of 6 inches per year. race has nothing to do with how fast our hair grows. It's all about retaining the length. All hair regardless of race, grows at the same pace.

  • @Apriluv7779 race and genetics are correlated to some effect. Certain races on average grows faster than others. Asians and whites hair do grow faster than black hair. Mixed race kids hair usually tend to grow a bit faster than blacks since they have half caucasian or asian dna. Im half asian and my hair grows fast like asians but its course (thick) like black peoples and really curly.

  • @SuperBlackbeauty19 Not true. All hair grows at about the same rate. However, retaining length can be problematic the curlier the hair because of the way the hair structure. Curly hair tends to loose moisture and become dry and become easier to break thus loosing length. Straight hair does not loose moisture because the cuticles of the hair lay flat thus the hair does not easily break. Curly hair is fragile because of it looses moisture so easily. Please do some research.

  • @Apriluv7779 guess who tends to have curlier hair? and the most curlier hair of all is found in african americans. So yes race does play a part. The less curlier your hair the more moisture your hair retains. If you are mixed it is a well known fact that your hair will be looser than a non mixed african american.

  • @Apriluv7779 that is why mixed race people maintain the length of their hair better than africans. Like your hair and mine are both looser in texture than african americans so that is why we retain length. I know alot about hair believe me.

  • @SuperBlackbeauty19 You missed my point. You stated : "Certain races on average grows faster than others. Asians and whites hair do grow faster than black hair. Mixed race kids hair usually tend to grow a bit faster than blacks since they have half caucasian or asian dna." Research states DNA has nothing to do with the rate in which hair grows. No matter what our race is, hair grows at the same rate; approx. one half inch per month.

  • @Apriluv7779 oh okay i see what you mean now.

  • @Apriluv7779 with extensive research on the fact of the debate of um racial hair growth tendacies it does show that african americans are on the bottom of the chain with comparison to all races. BUT that is in length. african americans are on the top of the scale in thickness and volume because of the hair structure and folicles that we have that other races dont. mexicans are on the top of the scale for length. just saying

  • your hair has grown soo much..and its gorgeous!!! :o) oh yeah and i asked my hubby to tell me how old he thinks you are and he said a teenager, lol..you look great girlie!!

  • I was using permanent dye then used henna on top on the hair that was permanently colored. As a result, my hair was like straw. I was also advised by East Indian women who own a brow threading shop not to henna my hair; that henna can dry the hair. After some contemplation, I decided to stop using henna. I now use a ION demi hair color which is temporary and washes out.

  • your hair looks great how long hav eyou been natural?

  • I've been natural about 10 years (no relaxer).

  • Wow a foot and a half of hair! Your hair is amazing, it grows like wildflowers! I did not know that Henna and dyes could damage your hair? Are you talking about indigo dyes? Thanks for the vids.

  • Beautiful healthy black hair!

  • great cut, your ends look great

  • I'd like to see the results of your flatiron style. Did you cut your hair?

  • where does it go down to??

  • MID BACK.

  • your hair is sooooo beautifulll both curly and straight

  • THANK YOU SISTER!
