an old Porsche had an oil spill the second it left the pits, about 120 mins of cleaning it up before the track reopened, i was the passenger in the orange atom in front of this onboard one and i pointed to the driver all the mess literally the first lap everyone was back in the pits...

Timing your last lap (and it's a flying start!) your doing 1min 52 secs. The 125cc record at Cadwell is, I think, 1'42, so yes, it's not quick, but you never claimed it was .... Lovely footage, brought back many happy memories of laps there, well done for posting.

Looks like they aren't pushing the cars to the insane edge though. Compare this soft comfy smooth relatively safe ride to the youtube video "Radical Racing at Cadwell Park". Yeah faster times but they're driving with a much higher level of risk. I'd rather be in an Atom.

Also, these aren't the Brammo built US Ariel Atoms, these are the UK cars built by Ariel themselves in Crewkerne Somerset. They've built a few hundred. over the last 6 years (not enough to keep up with demand though so be prepared for a wait of about 7 months if you want one).

There have been some Atoms raced over the last 2 or 3 years (very successfully), but currently I'm not sure if there are any racing. A one make series has been talked about which would be very cool.

You can test drive them down in Southern Oregon at a place called Brammo Motorworks i think. They are the production team for north america.
