This band existed for only one album, released in 1968. They were amazing, with one objection on my part: their instrumental arrangements often overwhelmed the (admittedly soft-spoken) vocals of their underrated female singer, Dorothy Moskowitz. Joe Byrd went on to found the equally-obscure but cult-venerated Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies. "You Can Never Come Down," recorded by both bands, remains an amazing song. When I uploaded this CD into my iTunes library, it was listed as "classical"!
