Skyrim and Witcher are completely different games..Witcher focuses more on character narrative, and the entire collection of Bethesda games lets you do what you want - they give you a blank slate. They can't be compared.
i like this game because its beautiful, realistic and it has very intresting characters skyrim doesent have such intresting characters but i think i can get much more hours of gameplay from skyrim because of the large open world with a shitload of dungeons to explore and sidequests to play trough also there is much more weapons and armor to use and discover than there is in witcher 2 both games have their strenghts and weaknesses but i still like both of them

This is better than Skyrim is a lot of ways and Skyrim is a total console port is a console UI for the inventory. Graphics are a big let down in Skyrim as well, though some ports are really nice.

Buy potion and stuff, manage skills and level up, crafting an equipment.. thats the idea! but witcher 2 is adding some action on battle which the battle is more like an action game. Skyrim is totaly action, i dont like the first person view system. and the battle looks idiot except 4 the dragons. i like the dragon batle in skyrim than in witcher 2

On Skyrim you can get married, you can customise the look of your character, you have a huge sandbox world to explore, final fantasy 13 had ONE explorable area which you are introduced to in chapter 11 ( i think ). And it has a better processer, a better graphics card, and a much better online community(not as many people under the age of 13), and the only ones ive gotten to know are actually pretty cool. My point is a pc is more powerful than consoles in multiple ways, you can get games for a lower price(take civ5 for example, just this weekend on steam its only 12$ instead the usual 60$ or so).

I'm not hating in any way when I say this, I love console and PC but let's face the truth... PC is better once you have one that can handle masterpieces like these without problem. Don't get butthurt, yall know it's true. Console is great for those who can't afford a good PC.

It was stated in a Q&A on the CDP Facebook-page. All the DLC will be free of charge, if anything will be for purchase it'll be an expansion pack.

The game is bloody brialliant looking, but even my PC can't run it on max settings at a decent framerate... i7 2600 3,40GHz, GTX 560 Ti 2GB, 8 GB RAM,... You need a PC build by nasa to run it at max on 60FPS... With my rig, I only reach 15 FPS on max :/
@Covaxius You would think that's the case, but console developers charge a 20%-25% licensing fee I believe, plus the store's cut, plus the Publisher's cut. On console games, developers are lucky to make 5 bucks on a $60 game.
if you have an AMD card, you can set Ubersampling to 1 (1=AF only, 2=AF+Multiple frame render) in the config file, then enable MSAA with the Catalyst control center (turn off in-game AA)...watch your system fly, while the game looks like madness (you have to edit the config file though) ;P
@qttytn there's a file called "user" in documents/witcher2/config folder, right click on it select "edit", at the bottom you will see some choices under the heading [Rendering]. the following settings should be there
AllowAntialias=0 /set this to 0, put the zero after the equal sign with no space.
then find UberSampling=1 /set this to 1
Then TextureMemoryBudget=1000 /this value should be 1000 because you have 1gb of video ram (right?)

Right click on it and go to "properties" and select two little boxes at the bottom that say "read only" and "hidden" (if you don't do this the changes you made will not stick) then put the file back in the same folder where you got it from...DONE. like I said enable MSAA with the Catalyst control center.

i like cdprojekt's developing strategy. They make a good polished game on the pc, then adapt it later on consoles with different gameplay to make it good on the controller. everyone wins.

I'm not hating in any way when I say this, I love console and PC but let's face the truth... PC is better once you have one that can handle masterpieces like these without problem. Don't get butthurt, yall know it's true. Console is great for those who can't afford a good PC.

2: 6 dlcs would cost more than the game itself, and have less content all together.
3: takes time they could spend on making a new and better one.
4: dlcs are most of the time worse than the game 'cause they´re just sold to get money, instead of delivering good gameplay/story.

It was stated in a Q&A on the CDP Facebook-page. All the DLC will be free of charge, if anything will be for purchase it'll be an expansion pack.

The game is bloody brialliant looking, but even my PC can't run it on max settings at a decent framerate... i7 2600 3,40GHz, GTX 560 Ti 2GB, 8 GB RAM,... You need a PC build by nasa to run it at max on 60FPS... With my rig, I only reach 15 FPS on max :/

@Covaxius You would think that's the case, but console developers charge a 20%-25% licensing fee I believe, plus the store's cut, plus the Publisher's cut. On console games, developers are lucky to make 5 bucks on a $60 game.

if you have an AMD card, you can set Ubersampling to 1 (1=AF only, 2=AF+Multiple frame render) in the config file, then enable MSAA with the Catalyst control center (turn off in-game AA)...watch your system fly, while the game looks like madness (you have to edit the config file though) ;P

@qttytn there's a file called "user" in documents/witcher2/config folder, right click on it select "edit", at the bottom you will see some choices under the heading [Rendering]. the following settings should be there
AllowAntialias=0 /set this to 0, put the zero after the equal sign with no space.
then find UberSampling=1 /set this to 1
Then TextureMemoryBudget=1000 /this value should be 1000 because you have 1gb of video ram (right?)

Also i've read you should set the memory budget to a maximum of half of your VRAM, but no more :)

@qttytn then after you've edited the three lines I just mentioned, save the changes, close the file. Right click on it and go to "properties" and select two little boxes at the bottom that say "read only" and "hidden" (if you don't do this the changes you made will not stick) then put the file back in the same folder where you got it from...DONE. like I said enable MSAA with the Catalyst control center.
