Whats really funny about this is that with many of these teens/adults who have a tallent like this, it's not taking them very far. How many recent songs on the radio have you heard that feature beatboxing in any way - have an amateur star like this one whose rising in the music scene? None. You'd think with a tallent like this they'd create their own underground cd and give it out as samples at conventions and what not to get their name out there.

Yeah, beatboxing is pretty much a dead end, as far as commercialization of their creativity goes. Theres beatbox conventions and competitions, but thats about it. Its quite hard to incorporate it into something like a full-length album.

It's how the world is, and it's not gonna change quickly, but if she was a man it wouldnt happen - you can bet Rahzel doesn't often get comments like "i dont like the way he looks. but the way he sounds is pretty tight ...hey, don't get pissed - they are just two different opinions." anyways, Bella is not one of the best female beatboxers - she's the best. To those who don't know, she won the world Female Beatbox Champs. I think her originality, crispness and groove transcend the skills of a lot of male beatboxers.

Obviously I can't say or know on what you or anyone else finds personally attractive, but I must disagree that these are "manly" sounds . . .

The whole thing with beatboxing is that everyone has their own unique sound which along with their technique comes down to their body shape, and indeed, gender.

Types of sounds, e.g. "grunts" are not inherently masculine of feminine, but all sounds *made* by a woman are by definition feminine.

Aside from that, but I think it is worth mentioning here, I think personally Belle is doing a great thing that uncompromisingly represents genuine femininity in hip hop, and it's definitely something I personally would run too rather than away from.

Obviously only she has the power to say how her skills make her feel, but as far as *I'm* concerned they definitely are attractive.

I think they were more like dumbstuck - it's just a different sort of audience because it's a convention not a club night . . . but having said that I don't think she really got the applause she deserved, especially for the looping stuff she did earlier in her set.
