  • the best entrance music ever. Ignashov we still love you, little russky

  • ???

  • I've been in love with this song for YEARS and just found out the name of it last week. Holy shit.

  • This is not by Aphex Twins... Outside <- Artist(s) and To Forgive, But Not Forget <- Song Title

  • Ellerine saglik, klip cok guzel olmus (= Sarkida mutis.

  • very nice clip, thumbs up

  • Nice vid. unbelievable how much pictures you found^^

  • Apparently this appeared in a compilation Album with Aphex Twin thrown in and has been incorrectly accredited ever since.

  • epic entrance music. Ignashov our guy...is the best

  • didn't aphex genuinely do a reconstruction of this? i'm pretty sure there's reasoning behind this.

  • lol it's not aphex but everyone thinks it's the best aphex track. i lolled

  • FUCK LIMEWIRE!

  • Does anybody know what program was used to produce it? :)

  • The Red Scorpion approves.

  • You hate it coz it's not morbid. As well you think it's not art coz it's not morbid.

That's not cool at all and I m, though all things in my life too, glad that I can choose

good things that are witty and happy at the same time.

I m not with the kingdom of doom and gloom in music nor art.

Frown is as real as is the smile. We are not stupid if our love's not morbid or hard. Im not impressed with that pain fascism. You keep it in your room and when outside at least you can pretend not to hate

  • Alexey Ignashov. That is all.

  • I couldn't give a fuck if AFX made this, sounds great to me.

  • Critics critisize for a job and for pleasure, which makes them better at.....criticizing. Whereas artists create, which makes them better at...creating! For all you would be critics out there think before you tread the path of a critic. Why not try and create something without fear of meeting someone like yourself, the world would be a better place.

I like this video, despite it being a simple to obtain effect, it's very visually pleasing, which at the end of the day is all that's important.

  • I nearly crapped myself the first time I heard this.... Matt gave me a copy of the last Outside album "Out Of The Dark" bless him.

  • Alexey Ignashov entrance music when he enters ''the ring'' in his K-1 fights! :D

  • Why flowers?

  • would an ipod nano survive in 4 sandwich bags that is inside a large pizza box that's outdoors in the woods for a year?

  • @qwertyvls

    WTF?

  • it's like watching a 3D encyclopedia

  • Alexey Ignashov !

  • @kutansky what the fuck did i just look up

  • I'm 99% sure that this song is about Holocaust

  • I like the music, it's amazing, but the video is really bad!!

  • This song is one of "Outside" single by Matt Cooper! Matt also plays keys in Incognito. I know him personally.

  • Lol, subliminal boob at 4:33.

  • EVERYONE: i once had a hardcore/hardstyle version of this song, with the violin solo remixed... anyone got the name/artist??

    thank you!

  • @tongersebocht

    dude.. i know it

Zat & Tat - Kickin' ass

  • My New power song for my nike+

  • This video would be crazy on salvia

  • Yeah, this file has been making the rounds in mp3 form on the internet for a LONG time under the title "Outside Kick Ass Violin Solo". I knew that couldn't possible be the name of it. And I doubted that it was Aphex Twin, because I haven't heard it in anything of his, and I have a lot of Aphex Twin. Good to finally know the real name of this.

  • No it isnt aphex twin

2 more fans of your video are sitting here in Brighton! Good stuff, love it.x

  • ahhhh. i just took a modern dance master class in new york, and learned choreography to this song. and as soon as the class was over i downloaded it to my ipod. this is some of the coolest instrumental music i've heard in a while! i love it. the beginning is my favorite.

  • In the back of mind, I knew this wasn't RDJ!

Now I can sleep easy knowing who this is really from. excellent track

  • Ever wondered where guys like Venetian Snares got there ideas from?

  • War IGNASHOV!

  • i like it :D

  • Fuck this song is amazing.

  • Alexei Ignashov the red scorpion!!!

    Verry good fighter of K-1

  • you have skills

  • Alexey Ignashov

  • cirujia cuerpo y alma xd

  • very trippy :)

  • what genre of music is this it sounds like jazzy electronica

  • acid jazz

  • by 'Outside' on Dorado Records

  • the exact name of the tune is: To Forgive But Not Forget (Lim'Chol V'Lo Lishkoach). The Album is called 'The Rough and the smooth and every track on the album is a killer

  • what an interesting piece of music.....i wonder what the title of the song is referring to.......

  • It was released about 10 years on Dorado.

  • thx for info.

the wrong done should be forgiven but not forgotten - without forgivness we don´t overcome our problems - we actually hang on to them -

The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.

  • You forgot that the drunk forget, but don't forgive. xD

  • haha - the drunk should ASK for forgiveness!!!

  • Wow, very nice.

  • this tune say much ....the red scorpid damn he was good if albows was alowed in k1 none would stand a chance to this giant !

  • Alexei Ignashovs song. nice

  • exelent<no more no less

  • how do you do this transition or efect in the images?

  • i need tylenol! awesome song tho

  • holy crap my eyes hurt.

    not to mention my head.

    but the songs awesome!

  • i danced this song.

  • The music rocks... but the video gives me a damn headache

  • @.@

Is this what drugs is like??

  • You says drugs like drugs all have the same effect.

  • That, or someone who lacks the experience to know what affect any have...

  • Dude! You deffinitly should try some drugs if you havent had any, using drugs can be pretty cool some times. eat some shrooms and we'll talk!

  • I really love this song.. Oddly, I associate it for some reason with the two anime movies Paprinka and Ghost in the Shell Innocence, since I watched those anime around the time I first heard of this song and I suppose my memory blurred the experiences together.. Can't shake the feeling it's connected even though I know it's really not.

  • This is Outside. Matt Cooper is a total genius!!!! Loved this band when I was a kid and have been looking for their tracks from The Rough and The Smooth for ages.

  • :0 i feel like i just went around the world....

  • Hello everyone!

I'm playing on violin and i want to play this song, but i haven't got tab.

Can somebody send me the tab of these song?

  • Very soothing

  • It is Alexei Ignasjov's song.

    He is a K1 Fighter...

From Russia. He used this song a couple of years ago 2 or 3.

    Definetly not Apex Twin.

    It is Outside...

Probably some eastern european or russian band or something.

All i Know is i fucking love the violin.

It has something desperate dark strong Hard Life feel to it.

At least thats how i experience it.

  • This song used to send chills up my spine everytime I heard Iggy's entrance.

It also fits his fighting style, kinda cold and merciless :-)

Well, at least back in the day...

  • belarus actually

  • this was on the rebirth of the cool compilation various, i dont know on which one was it, but all of em have fantastic music

  • Funny how the internet can flip reality's, So, anyone figured out whether this is an aphex twin song or not?? One of the smoothest dnb songs out there imo.

  • no, its not. it is amazing though that for so many years a song was attributed to the incorrect artist, which I have a feeling ultimately stems from the early napster/kazaa times.

  • Too much stimulus. Incredible!

  • Sweet music... Happy Acid Jazz!!! =D

  • This is NOT Aphex Twin. It has nothing to do with Aphex Twin. It has never had anything to do with Aphex Twin, but for some reason it is tagged all over Youtube as an Aphex Twin track. I've even seen it on a 'Top 10 Aphex Twin tracks' list!!

I think that someone has just heard it had a slightly unusual drum pattern and posted it on bloody Limewire as an Aphex Twin track.

I own EVERYTHING that has been released by Aphex Twin and this is not on anything I have.

Also the video really is poor.

  • I've actually heard that even though this track was not created by Richard D. James, is was on one of his rare mix tapes.

  • It was put on KaZaA as an aphex twin song, because thats how I found it some of 8 years ago.

  • I have an Aphex Twin CD on my computer called Rare and Unreleased (came out in 2001) and this song is on it, entitled Outside Kick Ass Violin Solo. Either this CD is a mere compilation someone made of what they thought was rare Aphex Twin material or this track really is Aphex Twin and not Outside. *researches more*

  • Alright, researched on Discogs to see what's what with this track and who it's by and whatnot and this is what I've found out. Before I said that I have a CD on my computer called Rare and Unreleased which features a bunch of Aphex Twin tracks that are supposedly rare and unreleased, but this is not on discogs, so odds are, it's just a fan's compilation. Also, the song is on Outside's CD "The Rough and the Smooth". This should put a stop to all the confusion.

  • I also just checked Discogs and can confirm, after ready through the lengthy list of Aphex Twin tracks that this is NOT by him.

Interestingly, when searching for "Aphex Twin to forgive but not forget" in Discogs, the only answer it came up with was a compilation CD released in France in '98 called 'Exit To Future' which features both this track, listed as being by Outside along with the Aphex Twin track 'Icct Hedral'. This is literally the ONLY thing this track has in common with Aphex Twin.

  • Is there any chance you could post the tracklist of this CD? I bet a lot of them are not real Aphex Twin tracks. Such as the 'Tetris' and 'Mario'remix tracks that I've heard which also has nothing to do with him. I think these a just from people being confused because he did do the track 'Pac-Man' under the pseudonym 'Power Pill', which really is Aphex Twin. :-)

  • also "Homers donut odissey", a drill'n'bass song made with samples from The Simpsons. I think it could be a mistake made by someone on a P2P network like the old Audiogalaxy..then people started sharing mistitled songs..

  • the tracklist for the Rare and Unreleased that I was talking about?

  • @dmh79

Well actually this song was hidden in a folder on the official Aphex Twin site (accidentally I assume) and simply called Outside.mp3. I found it there and downloaded it thinking it was an Aphex Twin track and renamed it. I'm not positive if my copy ended up getting distributed or not but if I did it, that would explain how someone else could've mistaken it also. This happened around 1999.

  • @afxwinter "official Aphex Twin site"? And where is this site exactly?

There is no official Aphex Twin site. The closest thing to one is either the Warp website or the promotional Druqs minisite. There never has been an official Aphex Twin site, probably due to Mr D James's famously elusive nature.

This sounds to me like you are trying to claim responsibility for this song being mistaken for an Aphex Twin track. I have no idea why you'd want to do that, but its clear that you are talking crap.

  • @dmh79

I believe it was aphextwin(dot)nu, although we're going back awhile so I'm not positive on that. Despite the fact that its not an official site I was told that the person who ran the site had occasional contact with Richard James.

And cut me some slack here, I haven't really been into Aphex Twin for awhile, I'm just explaining how someone else could've confused that track with an Aphex Twin track... it happened to me after all.

  • @afxwinter Fair enough. Thats a fan made website so it could've ended up on there. But he can't be much of a fan if he thought this was Aphex Twin!

Anyway, if you want to hear an Aphex Twin track thats a bit to this, but much, much better then check out "Girl/Boy Song"

If you're new to Aphex Twin, you should also check out AFX, The Tuss, Bradley Strider, GAK, Polygon Window, Caustic Window, Blue Calx, Q-Chastic, Smojphace and Power Pill. All these are alternative names for Aphex Twin! :-)

  • @dmh79 you forgot richard d james

  • @dmh79 THANK YOU.

  • Didn't Aphex Twin release some EP or something with a track titled "Kick ass Outside violin solo" or something?

  • @dmh79 THUMB DOWN for you mate, this video is dope!!!!! You see everything in the world in 6 minutes with crazy morphs interconnecting any image whilst synced to the music. See the lightning dancing? Id love to see what you could come up with for a song like this.

yeah yeah we all know this isnt aphex twin, thats why it says Outside- to forgive on the title of the video.

  • @dmh79

it's so intolerant to not adore this, just because your a fan of Aphex Twin and a colector should realy make you to take this as a work of video art, because it realy is one, all is said and we all know it's not aphex but to see your intolerance just because of your taste is realy silly

  • @drvo81 Aphex Twin isn't the ONLY music I listen to! I just think this video is poor. The transitions are rough, the pictures used are poor quality and low resolution and its taken practically no skill or thought to put it together. Anyone could do this with very basic video editing software. There are far, far more impressive videos on here that could actually qualify as art. This looks more like a childs school project.

  • @dmh79 Sometimes the simplest things work. Yes, you can see some cutting at the edges, but for a youtube video, it's pretty sweet. Most music on Youtube comes with a picture of the album cover or some awkward slideshow, this was interesting to watch. Not everything will have Chris Cunningham behind it or a full production team, the person who made this probably has little experience in much software and I can't find any claim that says this video is meant to be art. Relax.

  • @WolfThane I never said it was art. That was drvo81. I was saying its not art.

I'm glad to see that you agree with me that it has no artistic merit whatsoever.

  • @dmh79 As retarded as some people are, art is in the eye of the beholder. Like when Roger Ebert said Video games can never be art, yet some games are just layers of art on other art. Some are filled with creative decisions that can make the player perceive things in a different way. While I wouldn't say this isn't art, it's simply not comparable with that most would perceive to be art. Doesn't mean that it isn't, in the right light and to the right person, anything is art. Even complete shit.

  • @dmh79 got Outside's album 'The Rough and the Smooth' and there it was. I have also been under the illusion that this was a Aphex Twin track (yeah, limewire..). Now that I listen to it...how could I have been so wrong? Kudos to Outside!

  • @dmh79 so true!!! fucking limewire!!!!

  • This kicks ass indeed!!!!

  • Alexey ignashov tribute

  • This is my ultimate jam out song.

  • ...

  • ...?

  • then listen to it and scroll down and look at the pretty comments instead?

  • I did so. For the reason that the video is not in relation to the music. Just to put random pics together with one single effect, is not enough. Even rhythm has been ignored. At least you see two passages where tempo has been adapted...

  • troll.

  • im normaly to hardstyle music.. but this song.. is very great! i can hear it again and again..! very good song! 5 stars!

  • Matt Cooper's opus of 1995. This became an instant classic when it came out , and Outside's second album , "The Rough and the Smooth" was all over London during that long hot summer. That's How It Was.....eh Gilles? ;)

  • Alexey Ignashov has been using this song as his entrance in K-1 for a few years

  • Where can I get the sheet music for the violin in this song???

  • This is "To Forgive But Not Forget" by Outside from the album The Rough and the Smooth.

  • This is NOT Aphex Twin... I know that nigga's shit, and this is not it. His stuff is much crazier.

  • why is this track labelled as aphex twins' everywhere?

  • limewire

  • This kind of reminds me of Sagat's music in Street Fighter. TIGER UPPERCUT!!!

  • Where can i get this song

  • Yes, I wouldn't have known about this great piece of music if it hadn't been for Amir!

  • Hi! Did somebody find out from which violin concerto the solo is? I already found out, that Lili Haydn played it for Outside, but where did she take it from? I somehow doubt that she composed it herself. I just want the solo... I NEED the solo... somebody help!

  • I know I'm six months late... but the beginning sounds an awful lot like Caprice No. 3 from Paganini's 24 Caprices (Op. 1). It's not the exact same thing, but it's a clear ripoff. It's even in the same key!

  • Hey, wow, thanks anyways! Better late then never... I'll go check it out right now! :-D

  • u know what i agree alexey could prbly train harder but im not there i dont know so how the fuck can u say what he thinks there is more to a fight then what u see in the ring like injuries personal prblms so have alittle more god dam respect he is one of the best in the world better then prbly 90 percent of the people on the planet at his weight so unless your a world champ try not to talk shit

  • i don't have to be have an opion its sad to see anyone there talent besides that i trained martial arts since childhood

  • i meant waste there talents

  • if hes the best why is not champ you know why because he's lazy and does not train to enhance his ability he thinks pure talent is enough that why he get schooled by hoost and aerts and other guy twice his age he could be the best if his work ethic can match his pure talent

  • This also my opinion

  • When did he fight Hoost? And isnt he 1-1 versus Aerts?

  • If he didn't take it so easy, he could be the greatest K-1 fighter, but the greatest fighter is Fedor Emelianenko.

  • Ignashov the best fighter

  • meraviglioso

  • Awesome song.

  • alexey ignashov the best k1 fighter

  • Alexey Ignashov!

  • I definitely saw a topless chick. That's awesome.

  • I counted 7.

  • i thought it was only outside it appears in the cd the rough and the smooth

  • please check the 3rd track of the album 'Rebirth of Cool, Vol. 4'

  • @senacos rebirth of the cool vol. 6!

  • yalnız kafamın da güzel olması etkisiyle çiçekleri görünce bir an aklıma TRTnin iftar programında birden açan çiçekler geldi ve gülmeye başladım hhahahaha

  • tebrik ediyorum hocam zevkini bu parça ayrı birşey

  • this video is awesome!! yeah, i like the song, and the morphing thingy.

  • Would anyone happen to know how they do the morphing effect?

  • I've loved this song for yearrrrs. I love it! Never gets old.

  • the lightning part is the best

  • ...4 total...I think

  • I between 4:31 and 4:32 there's a few naked girls...o_O;

  • ok good..i thot i was seeing things

  • The song is not by Aphex Twin, it's by Outside "To Forgive But Not Forget".

  • yes you are right. it is written in info section but in Turkish. thank you for your explanation.

  • if its not aphex twins wh is in the album the last secret track?? duhh!!

  • it is Aphex Twin's and Outside's collective work.

  • thats really cool gr8 song 2 Aphex Twin are amazing just wanted 2 know how did u create that effect?

  • I am not the one who created the effect :( so I don't know.
