  • I soldered in the 3.5mm (1/8 inch) mic jack. It works however, I get heavy a feedback sound over the recording. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • I got the same monitor

  • after this mod does the internal mic still work? If it still works then is there a setting/ switch that is needs to be changed to select which mic to use: internal or external?

  • @myphrase I didn't put in any sort of switch to do that but it could be done, be warned though that there is not very much cord or room to work with inside of the camera so putting all that in could be tricky. I just figure might as well but a low price lapel mic that can plug into the side and works way better than the internal mic, and also has an effective windscreen

  • their is alot of noise

  • @mmstudios95 Well, computers make a lot of ambient noise and if you notice in the video I have the mic at least two feet from my mouth which means the gain has been turned up and thus makes the noise much more noticeable. If nothing else, the audio quality just reflects my crappy sound card and microphone.

  • @patloonytoon ok thanks i mean no harm i am just tring to figure this out .. can i ask you please is it mono after hack or can it be stereo hey thanks alot

  • @mmstudios95 yeah no prob, the audio will be mono. Mono audio may seem like it would be unusable however many microphones are still mono mainly in the instrument market. You could always consider getting a external audio recorder and then mix in post.

  • @patloonytoon thank you yes i do that now i use the zoon h1 it is great its just a pain to sync the audio

  • @mmstudios95 yeah that's why I intended on using the T1i for audio recording in the first place, was disappointed to learn it didn't support stereo sound.

  • is there a hack for 24fps at 1080p or 720p?????

    does magic lantern enable that

  • @jknamu For the T1i you will have to wait. Progress is being made but it will take time to get things ironed out.

  • @jknamu there no hack yet but if you you down load any video converter you could have 1080p and the lowsest is 20 fps.

  • Good Job Patrick. Glad to see 500d/t1i ML is going well and making actual progress. really interested to see if manual video features can be opened up. that to me is the major hurdle to overcome for this port and probably the most wanted feature. Keep us posted and good luck to you, Chuchin, Alins, and XCFlowresX and anyone else involved.

  • @barbar84 Thanks, yeah we are all working on getting it to be fully functioning which can take time. Once things are a little more complete I will be making another video to show some of the features.
