Poppers have the ability to temporarily lower certain types of white cells, most notably natural killer cells. Therefore YES KS can be caused by poppers but the immunosuppression is NOT permanent. Cell counts rise after a few days. Therefore AIDS would vanish upon stopping popper use. It doesn't. Look at some papers rather than videos. Peer review is good...

However, looking at early AIDS treatment and citing that as evidence falls in the face of the progress they have made. With the current mixed-drug treatment toxicity is far lower and so are side effects. (Once again, merely pm if you'd like to see the actual studies with the actual numbers). Poppers have the ability to temporarily lower certain types of white cells, most notably natural killer cells. Therefore YES KS can be caused by poppers but the immunosuppression is NOT permanent. Cell counts rise after a few days. Therefore AIDS would vanish upon stopping popper use. It doesn't. Look at some papers rather than videos. Peer review is good...

On a side note, if you look up Lindsey Nagle, you'll find that while she was tested with a western blot, showing 2 reactive bands, her viral load test was negative. (hence, she was likely misdiagnosed, and never suffered HIV). Yes, the AZT medication from the early 90's was incredibly dangerous, and taking her off it undoubtedly improved her health. This does not in any way weaken the fact of HIV or the effect it has on people. Propaganda like this is directly leading to increased human death.

I know that bone marrow is the place where the stem cells for red blood cells, white blood cells, and particularly T cells develop. To call it the "source" for the immune system completely ignores the functioning of many other important organs and glands, but I can let the slide. Yes, in the early 90's a great many people suffered reactions to AZT, when it was administered in FAR higher doses than it is now. They've developed safer drugs to supplement it as the years have passed.

So, I went an actually read the paper. Yes, people using haart over an 8 year period from 1995 to 2003 were observed. There was no statistical increase or decrease in mortality over that period. Let me repeat: This was a study determining whether the HAART treatment has improved over an 8 year period of time. This is not a study comparing HAART treatment to no treatment at all.
