You probably won't have as many thumbs down ratings if you get the facts straight and post a correct title. No denying the Integra is fast, but it is not racing a Cobra Mustang...

  • @czcsplayer403 Such a creative comment. Its called less drag. Are you familiar with the undercarriage on the integras? There are two large pockets for mufflers on either side that on the factory bumper trapped a lot of air which in turn created a fair amount of drag. Also the sotck rear bumper and brace weighed about 50lbs together so that nice little weight and drag reduction was a no brainer to make sure I was maximizing the potential.

  • @1966v8mustang Good question. It would be a very different story with similar amount of money put into the stang. I had 3k into the turbo setup and about 2k into building the block. so a 5k budget. So put 5K into a mustang and yes it should go faster without a question.

  • @1966v8mustang Yes I totally understand the fart can principle. That was one thing I was proud of on that car was my one off exhaust from Random Technologies. It was the first all 3" mandrel system made for the teg and I was one of two test cars for it at the time. It took it from 367 to the ground on 2.5" to 400.7hp to the ground. Made a big difference, also added 3" downpipe to match it so that probably helped a lot as well. more stable boost and flow, better power. Thanks for being cool!

  • @xratedpres Especially when the stock integra's engine has basically the same amount of horse power as the V6 mustang. For a 4 banger integras are nice. Awesome when someone puts money into them. if I were to get a 4 banger would prolly be an integra.

If you go 4 banger get a car that has a turbo engine to start with as it will be much easier to gain HP out of it. I started out with about 117HP to the ground and ended with 417hp to the ground with 409 in the torque column.

  • I had a lot of fun in the FWD. I do agree they can be very dull. I loved my LS1 Camaro I had after that. I think now though I am more in love with launching AWD power and or going vertical on a sportbike off the line power. It all has just become one continous giggle of going faster and faster.

  • congraduation???? Again. It was a test and tune day. There were about 5 cars total in the 11's and tens out of 60. Plus I was using an LS open differential trans. I have no vids of what she has done lately. But last numbers it threw down was 508hp and 436 torque to the wheels. The run above posted was on 367hp. I sold the car almost 4 years ago. Built it when no one else was building this type of car and running the pressures. Hell imports were just getting into the 8's back then.

  • Are you kidding me? I was running 11.7 at 130mph. that pass was 11.92 at 118 on trial runs to build more power. I did not have a cage so according to the rule book. BACK THEN...I could not go any faster than 11.5 without a cage. B18B1 NO VTEC Just base model engine. With only a cold air intake, header, and exhaust I ran a 15.2 at 90mph. I have the timeslips still too. So 18 to 19. You are completely in need of assistance on how to search the internet for specifications.

  • That was an LS non vtec acura integra. At the time of that pass too it was the highest powered NON VTEC Integra in the country if not the world, but we had no proof of world dominance yet. It later made 508 to the ground and 434 torque on 28psi. never got on the track because I sold it. And I sold it 3 years ago. 3 years ago 11's were decent for a FWD. it will always be a problem for a muscle guy to bow down to the row. excuse excuse excuse. spinning tires, I spun mine too. QUIT CRYING

  • i think the main arguement is the money issue. "you buy a teg but have to put a TON of money into it to make it beat a stock mustang." Remember these cars (i think) are different years and depending on what condition you get them in the prices change. i can get a beat up teg for like 3-4k if that. then i could get a beat up stang for 4-5k, maybe less depending on seller. i think price is not a legitimate reason. if you wait long enough you can get either car for cheap, just wait for the good buy

    what a fucken idiot you are, its not the amount of cylinders, its the size of the cylinders, you can make a small block V12 with 3.5LT, because the more cylinders and the smaller they are the more RPM the engine reaches, F1 engines dont have Torque, but they have an extreme RPM that keeps up twice to up 15,000 to 18,000RPM depending on the amount of Cylinders, Big Cylinders produce more Torque, and again F1 engines have different engine parameters you fool, & "different fuel Moron"
