A fiddle is the same as a violin. Speaking from experience, a fiddle is not hard to play, though it makes horrid noises to people who don't play it right.

From what I've heard some fiddlers get the bridge lowered so that the strings are more leveled. Also fiddlers tend to keep rosin caked all over their strings. Yeah Fiddling isn't something you pick up overnight either!

@Ovanteeri Not to sound mean, but there is a difference. Not in the instrument its self but in the way it is played. I have been playing the fiddle for 5 years now and if there is one thing I know...it's that one way of playing is not easy at all if you learned the other...BUT...This kid...this is AMAZING...it took me 2 years to learn this song as well as i know it and he is playing it at 11? This is spectacular.

How old is he? Yes it isnt a above average performance of this song but it is probably better than most kids depending on how old he is.

He's playing it as fast as he can, but he's damn good! I was stupid at that age and decided violin was uncool, so I quit at 10. ;_; I picked up my friend's violin now, (17) and I can't play it to save my life. xD

He was only 10 at the time. The George was a really great pub with music sessions in Derbyshire. Now sadly closed to make way for another restaurant.

you play good, but some advice, hold it up strait, you hold it pointing down, dont put your wrist against the neck, and dont move your bowing arm past the elbow
