Well, I started watching football in 1983. Walter Payton Ran behind a bad OL, and then he got a great FB to take some pressure off his back. I grew up watching football. Lots of people also forget that Payton ran behind god-awful offensive lines for the vast majority of his career (til 84). Anybody who watched those mid-70s through early 80s Bears teams knows exactly what I'm talking about. I love both of these guys. They were the very definition of class. They never bragged, just let their actions on the field speak for them.

walter is far better than barry. Barry was great at stopping on the dime and accelerating this caused people to miss. Walter was more elusive even in traffic or while being tackled. Walter could carry defenders to the goal line. However no dis on Barry, I take walter bcause he could do it all and he was that extra receiver or blocker or tackler.
