@argonaut200 Actually being last in intro credits is usually considered a sign of importance or priority. Even more so when they indicate the character he's playing. Notice how the rest don't do that? Of course SG-1 didn't do this, but look at other shows to see it.

O'neill, Jackson, Ba'al, Pete, Mitchell, Sheppard, Beckett, Ronon, Apophis (ok, he's a little awkward looking, but still...) ....the list could go on forever..! Personally, I think Stargate is THE show for ladies who want lots of men to drool over... cause awkward or not - they're awesome!! :)

@quizzisation no thats a lie, MGM podcast SG franchise is the second most profitable only beat out by james bond for MGM , they are geting new writiers and going to put the franchise back on the rails, and try to undo the damage they caused with suckgu, the Myth that SG is dead is a sgu fan myth, MGM admited in their podcast that the show was a blunder. but plan to get one of the head original writers to do it next time

While there are not as much aliens in SGU than in SGA, the Rush-discovering-the-bridge-an­d-not-let-anyone-else-know story arc and the Lucian Alliance invasion and especially the follow up is pretty good. As for the actors it's a matter of opinion but many will agree that Robert Carlyle portrayed Rush brilliantly. You cannot compare SGA and SGU because they are different so lack of humor doesn't mean it sucks.

At least there is the Atlantis cross-over episode called Seizure.

You know on Stargate I never really liked Woolsey character but when he came onto the Atlantis the character really grew on me, I loveed Carter but I wish they had just brought Woolsey in after Weir had left she wasnt really used much and wasnt very Carterish in Atlantis and as for Beckett and Kellet I love both and I love how they both had very close relationships with Rodney the best friend and the girl friend.

The thing is that Woolsey was usually in a difficult situation when he was on the show, and sometimes had a difficult perspective or way of doing something, but he really is a good guy as we see after he becomes more of a main character.

I know how you feel about Carter, even in SG-1 she kind of changed from the bad-ass scientist with a gun. to a kind of bland feminine charactor. In Atlantis she never really had an opinion either. She was never really faced with a serious command situation and lost most of her military disapline.

I love SG-1 but it's like it went 15 seasons I think they wanted to make Atlantis like DS9 a Station that could generate endless Story Arc's instead of the traditional Episodic adventures SG-1 was (ST:TNG) but the show's formula never really changed even the characters personalities were based off SG-1. O'Neill, Mitchell and Sheppard the funny macho leaders, Jackson and McKay the pacifist geek. Teal'c and Ronin the Goons. reminds me of E.R I hope Universe is more like Voyager.

One of the leads, Justin Louis, has over 20 years of acting experience. Another, Lou Diamond Phillips, has about 25 years acting experience, just under RDA. Besides, SG1 is the best Stargate series ever. Atlantis was very good, but not nearly as good as SG1.
