That looks like pretty easy living. No daily bombardment, Hot chow served by civilians, you dont have to do your business sitting on a folded etool, sleeping in a bed with a roof,no mail,only canned c-rations to eat,, etc..Vietnam and Khe Sahn was a little rougher. We had 4000 KIA a month in 1967 and 70% of Grunts had at least one Purple Heart. And then there was the new M16 which jammed all the time.. But still it was the greatest honor of my life to serve with MY MARINES!!!

I come from a family of Marines (decorated NCO's & Officers) having one son-in-law on his 4th tour at Leatherneck as I write this. As much as platforms such as You Tube tend to be communication at its worst, this has been one of the best opportunities for my daughter, family, & friends to see just what these kids are up against, but more imporantly what their efforts might bring to what still remains a very barbaric world.
